7. Consequences

The following morning, Freya asked me to come down for breakfast and that it is also a sort of family meeting.

After taking a quick shower, I changed into a powder blue romper shorts. Thankful of Freya for shopping me some clothes, underwears, infant things and other essentials since it is still dangerous for me to go outside of the compound knowing that the Armory is still after me and the babies.

As I entered the dining area, everyone is looking at me, it is after all the first time for me to join them since I arrived, just staying inside my room and nursery for the past days.

Klaus is looking at me with his particular way of looking at me, which always makes me self conscious and blush. Hayley and the rest of the family greeted me warmly with a smile while Kol is with his usual teasing manner and Camille is looking at me coldly which made me flinch as I look at her. It is either she heard what happened in the kitchen in the wee hours or Klaus finally talked to her; either way, it made me feel guilty and feel bad at the same time.

Klaus is sitting in the head of the table and as I got near He pulled a chair for me in his right while Cami sit opposite to me which made me really uncomfortable.

Marcel then joined us, he looked at me while he walked towards where Klaus and I sit.
"You must be Caroline?" He asked while giving me a flirtatious smile. "Im Marcel, and I'm happy to finally meet the famous Caroline from Mystic Falls who is famous in making my friend here happy after He visited you." he teased.
Camille snorted and glared at me while clinching her fist. Marcel took noticed of the growing tension of Camille, Klaus and I and finally walked away and took his seat beside Freya.

Elijah cleared his throat and told us of the recent events. Aurora is now in possession of the last white oak and turned it into bullets which she shot Elijah in the chest yesterday, luckily missing his heart. Klaus then spoke, telling Me and Cami that we are not allowed to go outside the house in any way possible since Aurora is on the loose and with her obsession to Klaus, Me and Cami will likely the top targets. While the him and Elijah are also her targerts for what they did to her brother and for compelling them years ago thus making her revenge to the originals so lethal.

Finally the breakfast is over, as I walked away, Cami grab my shoulder harshly, " I need to speak to you Caroline!" She said. Klaus however,  took hold of Cami's hand and told her that they need to speak privately first.

Klaus and Camille entered the library. I wanted to hear their conversation but apparently it has a privacy spell because I cant hear a thing, so I decided to go to nursery instead but Elijah asked me if He can also talk to me.

" I know its not my business to say anything on whats going on between you and my brother Caroline but I need to heed you of some of the things that might affect in this family" he said.

"Did all of you heard us last night in the kitchen?" I asked him blushing of embarrassment.

"It is not hard not to know what took place in the kitchen Caroline with our supernatural hearing" he replied with a small smile.

" I am shamefully sorry for what happend last night, it was never my intention to hurt Camille and I know all of you are still aware that stefan and I are still together, what happend was beyond my control and I will always feel bad of what happened, please know that I tried avoiding it but I..." I suddenly out of words to explain further to Elijah.

He touched my shoulder and gave me a reassuring smile, " You dont have to explain, We all know that you have this deep connection with Niklaus and it seems after what happened between you in mystic falls, it is inevitable to happen again" he said. " it is between you and my brother, what I am trying to tell you is   that as much as I know He love Camille and cared for her, He never really got over his deep affections for you, If you decide to be with Him Caroline, it will be no turning back, in fact after what happend last night, i think you are in aplace of no turning back already.

My brother is possessive and obsessive, so please be careful where you thread." He warned and smile while I just nod and walk away.

In the meantime inside the library....

Klaus is pouring himself a drink, dreading the conversation that will take place. As He turned after a big sip of his drink facing Camille who is sitting down in the couch, Camille looked at him with so much anger and betrayal in her face that it made him flinch.

"Camille, im so sorry for wha happened. I never have any intentions of hurting you. I want you to know that I meant it when I said I love you and that I care for you."

" I heard you and her in the kitchen, Klaus! How can you do that to me?!" Is that how you show me that you still love me, after having sex with her and can't seems not to  get enough of her?!" She yelled. " I know you are breaking up with me because of her so spare me the bullshit of telling me that you still love me! because I think you never did! Yes, you cared for me, after all, I am always straight forward in showing and telling you that I am in love with you, I just didn't expect that you will actually cheat on me despite the fact that you told me days ago that I have nothing to worry, despite the fact that we all could hear you fucking her!" She screamed at me while crying at the same time.

It made me feel so embarrassed for what i did to her. " I thought I have moved on from her, Camille and I do love you but apparently I'm still deeply in love with her, there is no words or deeds to make up of the pain that I have caused you, all I can say is I am sorry. I want to be with her, I always do, i just never expected to have a chance with her before and so I moved on then I met you, but having her here stirs my feelings back and I am deeply sorry for hurting you in the process. I hope you can forgive me and we can still be friends. What ever happened, you will always be important to me and will always be part of this family. I just can't let the chance go to be finally with Caroline and I hope you will find in your heart to understand and forgive us, Camille" I implored her.

"I just can't right now and I need to stay away from both of you, even if it will put my life in danger, Aurora be damned!" She said while still sobbing. 
" Give me a minute, I will call marcel, I want you to stay with him, He will at least keep you safe". I told her while calling marcel.

After I talk to marcel and made arrangements for Cami's safety. I finally let her go.
