I don't know if I would count this as gay or not but sorta be warned, idk. And I'm just going to use they/them pronouns for reader. Hanji is a girl to me. Is she called captain or corporal, I can't remember. For now, I'll just say corporal. on that note, this is probably the worst thing I've ever written. I came up with it off the top of my head.

•Hanji's pov•

I was stuck in my office, again, because Levi told me to do my paperwork and put off my experiments. I heard a knock on my door and I responded with a soft 'come in'. The door opened to reveal (y/n). Their shoulder-length,(h/c) hair, (e/c) eyes that were so very dull yet held so much emotion, and a body that wouldn't quit.

"Oh, hi (y/n)." I said, putting my pen down and raising my head up from the desk.

"Hi Corporal. You aren't busy, are you?" They asked shyly.

"Of course not. And call me Hanji. " I said. I would do anything to get out of paperwork.

"Okay, I wanted to ask you something..." They said, sitting carefully on the chair in front of me.

"Is it about titans?!" I said a little too loud. (Y/n) jumped back in their seat a bit but continued.

"No, it's about romance..."

"Ohhhhh. Does little (y/n) have a crush on someone. " They blushed a light red.

"Awwwww, they does. Who is this lucky person?" Somewhere inside I could hear a little voice screaming 'I hope it's me I hope it's me!', but I knew that wouldn't happen.

"Uhh, I'm too shy to say, but they are quite tall and they have a beautiful personality. " (y/n) said, looking down at her lap.

"Okay. So what do you want to know?"

"How would you ask someone out thats basically the same gender as you?" My heart did a little flip, but I tried to hide it.

"Well, I would just go for it. I know you're generally a shy person, so do it when you know they're alone. Or you could just write a note and put it somewhere you know they'll only see it. " I said, leaning back in my chair.

"Thank you, cor--Hanji." They stood up, and only then did I realize that they were sweating a bit.

'She must really like this person' I thought as they walked out the door and I couldn't help but stare a bit at their backside.

'Bad Hanji! No bad thoughts!' I tried to concentrate on my work, but my mind kept drifting to who (y/n) liked.

I don't know how I'm supposed to do this. I don't know how to deal with this. It's almost dinner time, I think I'll just skip it, I have to figure out what to put on this note...

I was still working on the note, when I heard a knock. I stood up, hiding the piece of paper neatly, and opened the door.

"H-hi Eren."

"Hi (y/n). Can I talk to you?"

"Sure. " I stepped away from the door and Eren walked in, leaving the door agape.

"S-so, what did you want to talk about?" I sat on my bed, laying down.

"I, um, wanted to ask you if you wanted--" he was cut off by a voice that I knew oh so well.

"Oi, Jaeger. What are you doing in the girls dorm?" Levi asked as he leaned against the door frame. Me and Eren stood up and saluted.

"No need to salute, (y/n). Eren, I asked you a question."

"I was asking (y/n) something," he said, keeping his hand close to his chest like his life depended on it.

"It can wait. " With that, Levi pulled Eren off by his collar. I let out a sigh I didn't know I was holding and fell on my bed.

'I still have to finish the note. ' I sighed and walked over to my desk, where I continued the note. After about an hour or so, I finished it. It said:

'The day I met you, my life brightened. The Titans took everything away from me, and it feels like you gave it back. Your crazy antics, your smile, everything gave me the strength to carry on instead of trying to escape.

'Love' doesn't explain how I feel for you. It feels like my heart is on fire. I fall harder everyday, and I hope the feeling is mutual. Will you go out with me?

~(y/n)'

I was about to lay on my bed and read a book whose title I didn't care to remember, until another knock came. I sat up and said 'come in', which the person did.

"Hello (y/n). I heard from Levi you were awake. So I came to ask how the note was going. " She sat in the chair in front of my desk and, to my dismay, saw the love letter.

"Can I read it?" She questioned, which I thought was off since she never really asks anything, she just does it. I nodded my head and she unfolded it. She blushed at the end and she looked surprised.

"Who...is this to?" she quietly asked and I just continued on with my sentence. Said sentence would answer her question.

"It's okay if you don't return the feelings; I won't be hurt if you say no." I looked everywhere but her face, and failed to notice that she was now only a few inches away from me. She sat on my lap and leaned towards my ear, and I could feel her gentle breath brush against it.

"Yes, I will go out with you, " she said and she caressed my cheek with her hand and kissed me. I got to share my first kiss with Hanji, and it felt like I was hit by lightning. I pulled away and hid my blush with my hands. Hanji got off me and sat down on the bed behind me, leaning her head on my back and holding my hand.

"I love you so much. " She said as she kissed the back of my neck.

"I love you too. " We both fell asleep in each other's arms.

Was that cliché? It kinda sounded like it. I think this one was probably the shortest one shot so far. After this (hopefully of I don't freak out the whole time I'm writing it.) : Levi LEMON
