What?!

April's P.O.V:

I smiled up at Louis, "Merry Christmas, darling." I reached up and wrapped my arms around his neck, sighing happily.

"Oh right that reminds me, I have your present."

"Aw babe, thanks." I said kissing him on the cheek after he handed me a small, sloppily wrapped box.

The closer I got to opening it the more curious I got. I popped open the lid of what looked like a ring box and saw what looked like an engagement ring.

Automatically my jaw dropped, and I looked up to see Louis down on one knee looking at me expectantly.

"What?!"

Louis frowned upon seeing my reaction, and though it really hurt me I hopped off the kitchen counter and hurried to the bathroom, locking the door.

I sat on the floor leaning against the bathtub and tried to ignore Louis knocking on the bathroom door, begging me to talk to him. The more he knocked the more panicked I got, and suddenly I felt myself slipping into an anxiety attack, which made me panick even more. I hadn't suffered from one of these in over five years and I hated the feeling.

After my crying and gasping for air was over I shakily stood up and leaned against the sink, turnning on the faucet and splashing myself with cold water. I looked at myself in the mirror and took ten deep breaths, a strategy that calmed me down incredibly when I was younger.

After I had calmed down I thought to myself, What am I so afraid of? Then I realized, I though I wasn't ready. I had convinced myself I wasn't ready and therefore panicked. Then, I thought that maybe we were too young. Clearly, though, that's not true. I'm turning twenty three soon and Louis already did, so who's to say we were too young?

Silently deciding to say yes to Louis, I opened the door with a shaky hand and walked outside to see Louis sitting on the couch with his head held in his hands.

I sat down next to him and rubbed my hands softly up and down his arms. "Lou?" I whispered.

He looked up at me sheepishly and started, "Look April I'm sorry I overwhelmed you I'm really sorry you know what please spare me the embarrassment and don't even say no."

I smiled slightly, "Yes."

"I mean I prubably rushed into this and you weren't ready and- wait what? Did you just say yes?"

My smile grew and I nodded more confidently now. "Yeah."

Suddenly I was being picked up off my feet and twirled around by none other than Louis.

I laughed and held him tighter. He put me down and I kissed him immediately. "I. Love. You. So. Freaking. Much." Louis whispered, kissing me in between every word. I kissed him again, and murmured against his lips, "I can't wait to start this new chapter of my life with you, love."

We held each other for a while, before Louis pulled away suddenly and ran towards our bedroom. "What are you doing?" I called after him.

"OH MY GOD THE RING!" I heard him yell.

I laughed loudly thinking about how soon I would marry this big idiot.

He hurried back and got down on his knee, holding the simple yet beautiful ring in his hand.

"April?"

"Yes?" I giggled, unable to keep the laughter from my voice.

"Will you marry me?" I nodded, since I was basically speechless, and Louis slipped the ring onto my finger.

"Have I told you how much I loved you?" I hummed.

"Hmm, but of course." Louis replied, pulling me down to sit on his lap.

He played around with my left hand, softly rubbing my ring finger and pressing a light kiss to it. "Do you like it?" He asked, "The ring I mean."

"Louis it's perfect. Absolutely beautiful."

"As cliche as this seems, it was my grandmother's." He looked up at me with tearfilled eyes and I wiped away a fallen tear.

"Well it's beautiful, honey. And I know that you're grandparents couldn't be prouder of how you turned out. I know for a fact, okay?"

He nodded and pulled me tighter to him, kissing my head.

The rest of the day, was spent with us planning the basic details of our wedding. Well I was the one who did most of the planning, and Louis just did whatever he could to distract me.

"Hmm. What should the color scheme be? Lou?" I asked and when he didn't reply I turned to look at him.

Unsurprisedly, he was on his phone.

"What you doing?" I asked.

"See for yourself." He replied and passed me my phone. Immediately, I saw that I had hundreds of twitter notifications. The first one being a picture that Louis had tagged me in.

It's official, Love you babe @April.Whitaker, it read, with a picture of my left hand attached.

The rest, were comments from fans, either congratulating me or threatening me.

"Did you see it?" I felt Louis poke me in the side impatiently like a five year old toddler.

"Yes, babe, I saw it." I grinned.

He stood up and turned around as if asking me to join him. I stood up and followed him to our room, where we layed down and just talked for a while (with a lot of kissing in between of course).

"I can't wait to marry you." I sighed.

"I know exactly what you mean, love. I wish we could get married tomorrow."

"Me too, but then again think about the amazing honeymoon we'll have afterwards." I smirked.

"Oh right, I had forgotten all about that."

"It's going to be amazing."

"Hmm. And think about how much time we'll have to make Louis and April Jr." I blushed just thinking about what he was implying, but smiled nonetheless.

"Goodnight babe." I sighed leaning in closer to him and thinking about our future together.
