Josies POV
It's been two year since I've seen Hope last. She joined the Army a year after Graduation, then she was called to Afghanistan. She hasn't even met our kid. Before she left she got her eggs fermented then a doctor put them inside me before Hope left now we have a three year old daughter named Josette after me. (It was Hopes idea). I miss her like crazy we don't know when she gets back either but she promised that when she does we're getting married.
"Mommy!" Speaking of daughter. She has my face and hair color and Hopes eye color.
"Yes Jos?"
"Auntie Lizzie is calling." She says handing me my phone.
"Thank you now go get ready to talk to mom."
"Yes mommy." She skips off bringing a smile to my face.
I answer my phone.
"Yes Liz?"
"Hey I was wondering if you wanted to get lunch with Jade, Jayden, and I tomorrow?"
"Yeah. I gotta go talk to Hope."
"Bye Jo."
I hang up and walk downstairs where Jos is sitting at the table waiting for the call. As soon as I sit down Hopes contact comes up and I answer it.
"Hey guys!" Hope says through the screen.
"Hey mom! Guess what I did today?"
"What'd you do?"
"I rode my bike."
Hope gasps in surprise.
"That's amazing."
"Can I go play now?" Jos asks me
"Yeah."
She gets up and runs to her room.
"Hi Josie."
"Hi Hope."
"How was your day?"
"It was good. Just wish you were here."
"Me too."
"Do you know when you're coming back?"
"No sorry. But as soon I know I will let you know."
"Okay."
I hear an explosion then gunfire. Hope stands up and then the yelling starts.
"I gotta go love you." Hope grabs her gun then hangs up.
I sit there staring at the screen trying to keep the salty tears from falling. Panic creeps into my chest and up my throat.
An Hour Later
I get ready for bed after I put Jos in bed and climb into bed myself. I place my hand onto Hopes side of the bed while the other is on the necklace she gave me for our first date.
No Ones POV
What Josie doesn't know is Hope is coming home tonight. Lizzie has been helping Hope set up a place for them to meet.
Hopes POV
"Flight 36 is now boarding to Mystic Falls Virginia." I hear over the intercom.
"Josie, here I come." I say to myself as I pick my bags in my uniform and I board the plane.
Josie POV
I wake up and it's 11:15 so I have 45 minutes till I have to meet Lizzie for lunch. I wake up Jos then help her get dressed then I get a quick shower then I put some makeup on. I walk downstairs and Jos is putting her shoes on.
