nectar of a nectarine so sweet
like sweat and warmth of breath
that I crave
the sickly sweet and sour
punch-drunk flower
bright pink and red
worn and stained
take a taste of this punch-drunk flower
and peaches
a pair of peaches
until this cup spills
overflowing
the nectar of so sweet a flower
