The eerie silence prevails in the basement of your work studio. A chill embraces you from the back as your insides churn with unspoken words until it feels numb. Void. Empty...
You feel yourself slipping... slipping into the void of darkness swirling inside you.You must anchor yourself. You should breathe out. You should do SOMETHING.
With a deep sigh, you set out to work.
You let your mind wander as your hand moves over the canvas, instinctively, painting a picture you have never seen before. It was as if you were possessed by something. Your wrists move on their own accord as your mind drifts back to dreamland. Slowly the eyes form, then the plump lips, the nose, the skin, the face... You woke with a gasp from your daydream at the face that was forming on your canvas. You stop and examine the unfinished painting. It was him. You were drawing him. But why?He was your best friend. The sweetest human being in the whole world. He always had a sweet smile on his face and would never dare hurt anyone. As shy and awkward as one could get. His classmates often made fun of him for being the shortest boy in class but he would never talk back. He would just stay quiet and gaze down at the floor as he fumbles with the tip of his shirt. He would then have a sad but adorable pout on his lips. And then he would see you and his face would instantly light up with a cute smile. His eyes crinkled when he smiled and his face glowed like the moon in the night sky. It was so devastating in its beauty that it warms up even the coldest of hearts. You were, of course, no exception.
But he is gone now. No, he never existed. It was all a lie. A lie that hurt more than a thousand needles pricking into your skin. The best friend you once knew and cared about is long gone. And you don't know the person who is standing in front of you, behind the canvas, who owns his face. He stands there with his cold eyes that held no emotion, covered in blood, and yielding a knife he stays there without a world.
"How did you find me?" Your voice was barely above a whisper but he heard you. He locks his gaze into your eyes and whispers back in his low voice that lacked its usual warmth.
"I will always find you."
He is not the Jimin you knew once.
