Raven knew it was childish. All she had to do was just go to him and say she just overreacted and then he would laugh and tease her about it. Or she could even just pretend like it never happened. That's what she would normally do. But this time it felt different. She didn't know what to say or she didn't even have the courage to face him. So she did the next best thing she could do. Avoid him.
I'll go talk to him, she promised herself, I just need some time. I'm not avoiding him like a coward.
Raven's eyes catch him at the end of the hallway and she quickly hides. Shi*t, Who am I Kidding? I am a coward.
Hiding behind the wall like an idiot, mentally torturing herself, she leans back closing her eyes frustrated at herself. Why is this so hard? She wondered.
"Found you!" Her eyes shoot open, surprised and she finds Kim Seokjin, the alleged Worldwide Handsome, smiling at her with his perfectly aligned teeth on full display. A strangled kind of squeak left her throat as she called out, "Sunbae!"
"You thought I wouldn't see you, didn't you?"
"W-wha..n-"
"I KNEW IT." He cried, happily. She stood there stunned, not being able to process what was happening.
"Oh, I see you still haven't gotten over my beauty." That did the trick.
"As if, my Baby Chick is cuter than you!" Raven defended and he raised a hand to his chest feigning shock.
"Did you just compare me to a chick?"
"No, he's human."
"So it's a 'he', huh? Interesting..." He says rubbing his chin smiling as if he was onto something.
She rolled her eyes, shaking her head. There was no point in trying to argue with him. As Raven was about to ask what he was doing, a tiny peculiar beeping that kind of sounded like the cries of hatchlings interrupted her.
BEep.. beEP... BEep .. beEP...
"Oh it's my watch," Seokjin replied as the squeaking sound gradually rose in volume. "1:15," He says as he mutes the button, and Raven cries. "1:15? Oh, shoot! I'm late for class. Talk to you later, Sunbae."
"I'll walk you to your class." He offered.
"No, I'm fine-"
"I insist." He pressed, leaving no space for further argument.
"Fine."

Sitting on a lonely cafeteria bench, Raven made sure she was nowhere near his line of sight if Jimin happened to be near. Still, she felt this insuppressible urge to turn her head look around just in case. This is getting ridiculous. What was she so afraid of?
"Hey, Raven!" A falsetto voice greeted her and sure enough Raven found Seokjin standing near her table. "Why are you sitting here alone? I just met Jimin out there."
He asked gesturing towards the outside. Not knowing what to do she mustered up a half-hearted smile, "Oh." Seokjin saw right through it.
"Did you guys fight?"
"What? No!"
"You did." He stated, smiling as he took a seat beside her.
"I mean, technically it wasn't a fight. It's just....nevermind." Seokjin raised an eyebrow but did not press further on the matter. He decided to change the subject.
"So you said you were an Art Major? What kind of art do you like, I mean like Modern art or ...." He trailed off, evidently because of his lack of artistic vocabulary. Raven smiled at the attempt. "Photorealism." She replied, " I draw art realistically..."
"Oh" His eyes light up in recognition, his excitement evident in his actions. "Then do you also, like.... draw portraits?"
"Yeah..." She trailed off, she knew what came after that. She had been asked that so many times before that she had grown sick of it, but seeing the senior's exciting spirit was a new experience.
"That is so cool! Can you draw me?" He asks, eyes shining with child-like curiosity.
"Maybe..."
"Would you really?"
"I mean you helped me one time, so..."
"Great!" Seokjin replied, bringing his hands together. Fishing out his phone from his pocket he opened his camera, "How should I pose? Like this? Or like this?"
Raven couldn't help burst out laughing at the various comical expressions he was making at the screen. The senior smiled and his ears turned a shade of dark pink.
"You don't have to pose, just be yourself," she replied gasping for breath, unable to control her laughter. "Okay" He relaxed though his ears had now turned a full-blown red.
She took out her sketchbook, flipping to a fresh page, she began her work. She observed his face, trying her best to memorize every single detail when there was a flash of memory.
I was just observing you.
A sinking feeling swept over her as the memory of yesterday's events came flooding back. "Sunbae, can I ask you something?"
"Sure."
"So this is about my friend okay?"
"Mm-hmm," Seokjin replied urging her onward.
"So...she has a friend. They are super close and they've been together for like ever but then one day this friend is like...he's like looking at her like... ugh, nevermind."
"First of all, it doesn't take a genius to know that you're talking about yourself and Jimin."
She gives a sheepish smile, "Was it that obvious?"
"Uh-huh. Second of all, Do you still think of him as a friend?"
"Huh?" Seokjin draws back a little surprised at her.
"Did you still not see it?"
"See what?"
"Oh my God Raven, He likes you!" He exclaims, throwing his hands up in the air attracting the attention of a few passersby. "That doesn't make any-" Seokjin holds up his finger, stopping her mid-sentence.
"I have been observing you guys for some time. I might be still in Uni, but I have some field experience in Psychology. That lovey-dovey eyes he makes every time you are near is so hard to miss. Trust me when I say it is what it is."
"I'm not sure. It seems absurd. We've been friends for like years but..." Raven takes a moment as she pondered over the idea. "Lately, he's being weird. He feels different."
"I knew it."
"I- You know this is all new to me."
"Of course. You should take your time figuring things out."
"But what if-"
"Trust me, Raven," Seokjin said placing his hand over hers, looking straight into her eyes.
"You'll see."
