Raven was scouring through her notebook looking for something when a pair of hands suddenly closed her eyes and she felt a presence behind her. The familiar sweet citrusy smell invaded her nostrils and a soft, low voice whispered in her ears, "Guess who?"
"What are you doing Jimin?" She asked, narrowing her eyes, seemingly unamused at his little tactics.
"Just testing if you can recognize me?" He replies with a carefree shrug.
"Of course, I can. Are you kidding me?" Jimin let out a low, breathy giggle as he took the seat beside her at the park bench, inside the university. "I'm glad you can."
"You have some serious issues," Raven replied, shaking her head. "Ah, I forgot to tell you. My mom came over this weekend and guess what happened? She went through all of my stuff, nagging me about every little clothing on my bedroom floor, I swear someday she's going to..." Jimin's mind zones out. She always rants about her mom to him and he was actually quite bored of it. But he didn't dare tell her that. His gaze drifts towards a nearby bench where a group of seniors was having some sort of serious discussion. That piqued his interest.
"They said he was speeding up the wrong line and then crashed into a tree."
"Yeah... and he was as drunk as a skunk." A guy with glasses added.
"I've told Robert a thousand times to not drink and drive." A white blond huffed shaking her head.
"Is he hurt badly?" She asked. Jimin raised an eyebrow at her.
"He has severe head injuries but he will live...But you know what's strange?" That seemed to get the attention of the whole group.
"He was found near W. S valley hills. You know, he almost never goes there..."
"Yeah, after that incident with his family." The blond seemed to come to some sort of realization and she whipped her head up to meet the boy. "Do you think...." She began, her lower lip quivering slightly, "C-could it be..."
"Hush! His family is keeping the accident quiet. They don't want any rumors going around."
"Jimin, Are you listening to me?"
Jimin's eyes snapped back to Raven and he blinked.
"Yeah?" He says more like a question. Raven sighs rolling her eyes and she repeats herself.
"Mom brought some side dishes this weekend. When are you coming to pick them up?"
He looks at her. Slowly, a beaming smile lights up his face. "Ray."
"Hmm?"
"Do you wanna go on a date with me?"
"WHAT?"
"We have to go to the beach, right? We go there every year."
"Ohh...Jimin, do you even know what a date is?"
"What do you take me for?" He asks indignantly, placing a hand on his heart.
"Then did you really mean um...like a real date?" She askes, puzzled.
"Raven you are so gullible..." He giggles and she hits him on the arm when she realizes he was teasing her. "Yah!"
"Hahaha," Jimin laughs, a sound that sounded more like the tinkling of bells, as he draws back from a violent Raven ready to sprint away. "Wait till I catch you!" She yells chasing after him.His laughter echoed throughout the hallway.
