TONY JACKSON-The Longest, Strangest Week

This had to be the strangest week of his life. If you would have told him his father was white, he'd laughed at you. He was half white? Nothing in him felt like he was not all Black through and through.

Ethan Van Russell had blond hair and blue eyes. He looked whiter than white. He looked a lot like Chrissy, nothing like Ejay. Nothing like him.

But he sat there and listened to how his mother and uh...father were in a relationship that they could not tell anyone. How his mother left Ethan and moved away. How she did everything she could to make sure Ethan never knew.

She knew when she saw him and Chrissy getting close it would be hard.

"Just seeing you with her...your sister...I knew I should tell both of you."

"Chrissy won't talk to me anymore."

"We all need some adjusting," Ethan said. "Matter of fact, I need to go talk to Chrissy and Ejay about this. I want both of you to come."

"Why me?" his mother asked.

"You're part of me now, babe. Let's get this over with."

Ethan did not seem like this horrible creep Chrissy always told him about. He seemed to care about his mother, so that was good. He did not know if Chrissy would like to share her father when she rarely got to spend time with him, but Tony knew he wanted a relationship with him. Whatever he could get.

When they pulled up to the Van Russell Estates, Tony was in awe. He never was close to the infamous Van Russell mansion. It was more than he imagined it would be. He knew the Van Russells were rich, but they were rich-rich. His family had lots of money, but this was insanely rich.

"This crib is dope," Tony said, fascinated as they drove around the massive driveway.

"I can't believe this is the same house, sorry, mansion, I remember running the hall," his mother said.

"Yeah, and me chasing you," Ethan said, kissing her neck.

"Uh, excuse me?" Tony said.

Ugh! He had to get used to that. His mom never even dated, so seeing her with a guy, even his biological father was too much.

"Come on, let's see who is here."

Ethan started to take them on a tour around the place. They ran into a few of the staff and he introduced them. Damn! They had a slew of help to run that big place. Then he called out for Chrissy and Ejay.

"Like they can hear in this place," Tony mumbled under his breath.

Ejay came in first.

"Dad! You're home!" He looked him over.  "What happened to you?"

"Just a scuffle."

"You were in a fight?"

"Nothing serious."

"It looks bad!" Ejay turned to Tony. "Hey, Tony."

"What's up E," Tony said, giving him a fist bump. Damn! That was his little brother.

He barely knew Ejay, but sometimes when he hung with Chrissy, Ejay would tag along, the bothersome little brother.

"Where's Chrissy?" Ethan asked.

"Still mad at you. She wouldn't tell me why."

"Chrissy!" Ethan yelled angrily.

"Dad seriously, what's going on?" Ejay said.
