TONY JACKSON-New Millionaire in the House

He could not tell anyone about his new wealth. Not his friend Xavier. Not his girlfriend Ciara. Not his sister. Not even his own mother.

He was afraid his mother would say to give it back. He would eventually tell his mother, but right now he wanted to enjoy being a millionaire.

He could say the money did not change him, but he definitely felt a different swag now. He felt like a man, not a kid anymore. It seemed others took notice of his swag. He was having to fight the honies off him. This did not please Ciara.

"Bad enough I see what your sister has to go through with X, now you?"

"You're my number one girl."

Ciara slammed her locker shut.

"I better be your only girl!"

She stormed off as Xavier walked over holding Chrissy's hand.

"Whoa! What was that about?" Xavier asked.

"Nothing," he said.

"Did you tell her you're going away for two weeks on vacation with us? Is she mad?" Chrissy asked.

"Like me. I'm going to miss my girl," Xavier said.

"Aw," Chrissy said and kissed Xavier.

"Dude," he said, pushing Chrissy. "Don't do that shit in front of me."

"Hey before you all leave for vacation, you have to come to my end-of-the-semester bash. Party of the year," Xavier said.

"Oh really? Why does everyone say that about their party?" Chrissy said.

"Well, it's true about mine. My girl better be there, and my homie."

"You got it X, I wouldn't miss it," Tony said giving him a fist pound.

ELAYNE VAN RUSSELL-Fashion Diva in the Making

She kept herself busy helping her uncle at Van Russells. Even though she claimed to have no interest in working in the family business, shopping and fashion were her forte. Her uncle found a fit for her, having her help with window displays at their flagship store.

She got to look over designs, as well as pitch her ideas and put together outfits.

"There's hope for you, after all, kid," Ethan said, playfully pulling her ponytail. "Never thought you had an eye for the business. Always knew Daphne did, she has the brains, but you-"

"Are you saying I'm the dumb sister, Uncle E?"

"Not hardly. No dummies in the Van Russell family," he said, as he finished signing paperwork an employee handed him.

Elayne was going through racks of clothes.

"So Tony fits right in."

"My son is off limits to you."

"I know that Uncle E, I'm just saying he fits right in, right? Smart like you, huh?"

"His mom is pretty smart too."

"Do you love her?"

"Yes, I do."

"How do you know it's love?"

"What's with all the questions?"

She shrugged. "I just want to know."

"Well, I know because, every moment I'm away from her, I feel like a piece of me is missing. I never felt whole without her. When I'm with her, I feel complete."
