Bryan's Mansion (Focus: Bryan & Helios)
Though the sun was shining and fauna was bustling around in the garden, Bryan couldn't help but feel like absolute garbage. He had such a good, wonderful morning. Honestly, couldn't the gods let him keep some sort of happiness?
He didn't really know what he did wrong...well...maybe he did...
Bryan smiled happily as he flew around the mansion without the overprotective restraint of Helios. Yes, he did love and care for Helios, but he wanted some freedom to do his own thing. The whole crash about a month ago didn't do much in achieving independence.
It was only a few laps around the mansion later that Bryan decided it would be a good time to take a break. He fluttered down near the entrance and stretched a little, not yet noticing the other figure waiting in the foyer. However, once he turned around, the feeling of excitement and giddiness simmered down. The bright, shining brown eyes of Bryan's boyfriend, Jakey, pierced into his own, making the two look away awkwardly.
"Um...Jakey? What're you doing here?" Bryan asked as the two collected themselves.
"Well...I would say it's good to see you...which I guess it is? But...I'm not really here for pleasantries." Jakey rubbed the back of his neck, wincing at Bryan's subtle flinch.
"W-what do you mean?"
"Bryan," Jakey deeply inhaled, "We've been together for...almost a year, right?"
"Yeah?"
"Well, can we talk about...us?"
Bryan was taken aback, "Of course we can. Want to come in or..?"
"Um...no. I think it'd be better if we just talk here."
"I-if you say so..."
Jakey sighed, "Listen, Bryan, I don't think we're working out."
Bryan reached out,"But-"
"No. Let me finish Bryan," Jakey sighed...again, "It's just that...all of the drama from last year is catching up and while under different circumstances I wouldn't mind being with you, but last year wasn't the best. Especially with the whole Seductive Rose situation."
Bryan's eyes began to water, "B-but Jakey...can't we still try?"
"I don't think we should Bryan. I can't return your feelings. In the long run, it would just hurt the both of us....I'm sorry it has to be like this." he moved past Bryan and started towards the entrance.
Bryan reached out and snagged Jakey's hand, only to have it yanked out of his grip. He recoiled from the assumed hostility coming from Jakey. With that, Jakey hurried out of the mansion, summoning Pelagic and getting out of the place with a sort of awkwardness.
Leaving Bryan all alone.
"It's my fault, isn't it Helios?," Bryan sniffled, "I did this to him; getting possessed was my fault...and..and tricking him into loving me was my fault...dammit."
Helios' ears flattened, and he nudged Bryan with his snout, trying to get the poor man off of his bed. Bryan stared exhaustively at Helios, trying to wordlessly tell the horse he wouldn't move. Not. At. All.
Helios rolled his eyes and grabbed Bryan's belt with his teeth, effectively picking up the demigod. Said demigod yelped and tried to squirm out of Helios' grasp. Of course, it didn't work, and Bryan was carried all the way to the bathroom, where he was dumped right into the already prepared bath.
