Camp Oasis (Focus: Inpu)

Inpu sat down with a book in the living area. Bryan was in the kitchen, preparing something for the Pantheon other than ice cream.

Almost no one was inside the pantheon except Cal and Mikael. Solis and Ricarro took everybody else with them to the pool.

It was rather domestic, and Inpu relaxed into his seat, looking over his notes. This was nice.

"Hey! Hey! GET BACK HERE!"

Inpu woke up to the sound of running and the harsh stomps of a horse. Bryan and Cal were preparing dinner and had hidden behind Bryan's light shield. Magnus ran inside, bee-lining to Inpu. He leaped up and ran to Magnus, who drew their dagger.

They threw a book at him before the pursuer could get closer. Inpu saw that it was Xylo. He got off of his horse and reached for the book, "That's mine. Your sibling stabbed me and took it."

Inpu pushed Magnus even more behind him, growling at Xylo, "That doesn't mean you should get on your horse and chase them with, oh I don't know a murderous intent!?"

Cal came between the two groups, "Hey, hey everyone. Please don't make this worse than it already is."

A cough from above caused everyone to look up, where the other Egyptians stood, leaning on the railing.

Cal looked back at Magnus, "Magnus, please just give the book back. Also, why'd you stab Xylo for the book?"

They pinned their ears and growled, "We need it."

Bryan walked over to Xylo, "Are you still bleeding? I can heal it if you let me."

Xylo gave a suspicious look but nodded. Bryan summoned a healing circle and walked over to Inpu.

"What's the book for?" he whispered.

Inpu looked down at it and whispered back, "A Book of the Dead. They're not wrong but still..."

Bryan nodded and looked over to Xylo, "It's dinner and I'm sure no one really wants to fight. Maybe you can all work things out. After all, aren't you all children of death?"

Inpu thought about it and looked to Magnus, who gave a small nod, "Fine."

Cal clapped his hands, "Ok. That's good. Now, Ricarro, Davis, come help us with the dishes."

With this stalemate, everyone came over to the kitchen island. Bryan and Cal pointed out the different dishes, which were a mix of vegetarian and convenient dishes (and lacking a specific cold dessert, much to Solis' displeasure). The variety was very refreshing.

As Inpu tore into some steak, he noticed Xylo with his own plate, staring suspiciously at it. The two made eye contact and Inpu could see Bryan watching them sadly. Inpu looked down at his own food and slowly ate it staring at Xylo in an almost hostile manner. Xylo rolled his eyes and began to eat as well, breaking eye contact for good.

Bryan walked over to Inpu and sat on the floor next to him by the stairs. Inpu scooted closer to Bryan, who leaned on his shoulder. The two ate in silence.

Camp Oasis (Focus: Bri)

Bri landed as quietly as she could into the old part of camp. She bit back a groan as she stretched her still injured wings.

'Thank the gods my bruises healed already,' she thought to herself as she crept around camp.

Bri was taken aback by the vast amount of changes in the year she had been gone. Her beloved camp had grown, taking in all sorts of campers. She was fascinated, yet...she didn't feel compelled to venture, almost as though there was something leading her somewhere else.
