AUTHORS POV

"How's it going over there, doll?"
Martha asked cautiously, trying to see whether or not you were still upset from the night before.

"I'm fine..."
You replied from your sitting place on the stool on the other end of the roof of your house beside the church.

You looked up from the basket of laundry you were washing, and saw the look of concern within the eyes of Martha, who held baby Timothy and a bucket of clean, dry washing; ready to be folded.

"How about you?"

"I'm just about to put Timmy to sleep, Sandra is going to come up here and hang this bit of washing."

She gestured to the bucket beside the line.

"I thought she was going to rest. Timothy has been the main destruction of her sleep life."

"Well...nobody said having a baby was easy."

"Hm...I wouldn't know."

...

...

...

"(Y/n)... I know... things have been tough in your life since Shiganshina, on top of that you had to, also, deal with the fall of Wall Rose... I just want you to know I am here if you need to talk-"

"Well, right now I don't wanna talk."
You turned your gaze back to the task before you; your task, hidden from the view of others by how you sat with the large bucket of washing in front of you, cutting off their vision from what they THOUGHT you were doing...

"SIGH... Come get some tea with me when you're done, Sally will take over your duties."

All you heard were the faint steps of Martha leave the rooftop.

'I don't think we'll have enough time for tea.'

You gazed behind you to the giant wall, the stone, covered in ropes... attached to a certain, reinforced, wooden elevator on the other side of the magnificent, stone structure.

'The one that would raise at noon... carrying the creature created by satan himself... but sent down by the Father as Sheepdogs to herd His flock of sheep... and separate them from the goats of sin and all unrighteousness.'

(A:N For those of you who don't understand. She's basically saying how the Lord sent down the Titans as Final Testing... basically, a final test to see who would follow Him _ His sheep_ and who would not _the goats_ )

...

...

...

And all you could say was...

'Send it in, Father...'

TIMESKIP

"Is everything ready?" Nick asked.

"We just need a single load of washing done. (Y/n) is busy with it. "

"Speaking of, (y/n)... do you think she'll be alright?"

"What do you mean, Nick?"

"I mean..." he looked out of the window. "Can she handle it again? The darkness... for months... without any news of the citizens above?
For me... it's enough to make me envy the undergrounders."

"Stop that nonsense talk, Nicholas! If we were down there, we'd never see the light and be in a MUCH stickier situation that this present one!"
