COLTEN'S POV

As I stare down at the notes taken for the battle, I notice just how quiet it has been in this place since Captain Brice was taken.

I looked up to where the, usually, busy work room was deserted.

No one has really been willing to work, let's just say that some don't approve of my position as Captain, now.

Hence the reason for the silence... for everyone was outside... witnessing what would happen to them if they didn't follow my rules.

MEANWHILE

The people held back their gags and swallowed their vomit as they watched one of their colleagues, who had disagreed with Colten's leadership, being thrown into a pit...and being ripped apart and eaten alive by a pack of wild dogs...

Once Colten's Second in Command had had enough of this punishment, he commanded that the dogs be taken back to their cages.

Next...was the worst part.

The crowd cried in trauma and screamed in unison as the person below.

As the person was, now, nailed through his wrists to the stone wall of the pit...

The people shivered as the man screamed in agony and fear as, now, his feet were tied with ropes...and the ropes were connected to some horses' saddles.

With a final command, the man and the crowds screeched as the horses ran... the nail ripping through his flesh, up into the flesh of his hands... and out between the gaps of his middle fingers.

The crowds wept in terror as the man was, now, finished off by the dogs again.

This was the punishment...for all those who opposed Captain Colten.

AUTHOR'S POV

However, there is one person who didn't have to watch the... show.
...

...

...

Colten read his plans with a smile on his face, the smile was evil...for he enjoyed listening to the terror of his subordinates.

But, now it was time for HIS terror.

The door bashed open, and his messenger came in, eyes full of urgency.

"Sir, reports from Josh and Kyle in the Survey Corps HQ. I think you need to hear this." The girl was sweating, nervous as she pulled out a note and gave it to her leader.

She spoke as Colten read it.

"Sir, Erwin Smith and Levi Ackerman have been absent from the Survey Corps HQ since last week... along with the prisoner, Captain Brice. And, now, four other Cadets have gone missing."

"Any knowledge on their whereabouts?"

"None, sir... no one knows where they went...not even the person they left in charge... The only clue we have is that... they have secluded themselves with a small group of handpicked soldiers to discuss plans for a... future battle"

"...dammit... tell me, Thessa..."

Colten was worried now... glaring over in the direction of the messenger.

"Did they mention who was missing?"

"The Survey Corps is in a frenzy, right now at the mysterious disappearance of their soldiers... the four Cadet's being: Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, The Survey Corps Bible Basher, (Y/n) (L/n)...and Eren Jeage-."

"Bible Basher?"

"Uhm...it's another word to describe a Christian..."

Now...Colten was afraid.
