Seo Ho-oppa gave the class a pair activity, a song assignment that they have to present next Monday.

He invited me for some coffee at the cafeteria while the class was busy discussing with their partners what they're gonna perform. No one was allowed to leave the room and can't use a toilet break as an excuse, since every room or studio has its own.

"Yuqi-ah, Shuhua-ya. I'll be back in a minute." Seo Ho-oppa was already at the door, holding it open for me so I left the two without waiting for their answer.

***

Coffee.

The strong aroma, and the bitter-sweet taste of an ice-cold coffee that relaxes, yet at the same time, energizes my body against the hotness of the morning sun, is one of my weakness. I followed Seo Ho-oppa to the cafeteria, there's a few students here and there, minding their own business either eating or studying during their free time. He ordered a slice of chocolate cake and an iced-americano for me, my favorite.

"That's still your favorite, I see." He gave me a warm smile.

"It still is. So.. How did you become an instructor here?"

The smile on his face isn't going away anytime soon, I could tell.

"I was actually studying here for my final year when we first met back at the vocal academy. I knew a friend who works at the academy and he asked me for a job as a vocal coach there. Well, I really love music, and teaching is my passion so I agreed, and that's how we met by the way, in case you're still wondering. When I graduate, I decided to apply at my alma mater as a vocal instructor, and here I am now." He took a sip from his mug of hot chocolate.

"I remember you, you're really kind. You helped me a lot even with the song writing."

He raised his eyebrows, "Do you write songs now?"

"N-No. I'm not at that level, yet. I still love to sing, though."

"Your voice is really beautiful, and I remember when I first heard you, I could hear the YG University's signature style in your singing technique."

I don't know anymore if that's a good thing or bad. Because of how long I stayed in YGU, every technique they taught me was now ingrained in my system, and it became a habit I was having difficulty changing.

"Thanks... Though, I-I'm actually having a hard time finding my own style now that I left the university."

"Hey, if you want, I can give you some tips and even some free vocal lessons?" I looked at him, surprised by his kind offer, "I mean, not really free, because you have to buy me coffee whenever I teach you——"

"That would be great. Thank you!" I reached for his hand and hold it with both of mine, his face and ears turned red, and he couldn't look at me in the eyes. "When are you free, oppa?"

"I-I-I.. I'm okay whenever. But, maybe this weekend?"

"No. I can't this weekend. Sorry, I'm going home. How about after school tomorrow?"

His voice came out in a higher pitch, "Sure!" He cleared his throat and this time spoke in his normal voice, "I-I mean, yeah, sure."

"It's a deal, then? Thank you for the cake and the coffee, by the way. It was nice to see you again, Seo Ho-oppa. I'm going back now, see ya'!"

I brought the paper plate and the now empty cup of coffee with me, and throw it at the trash bin along the way.

How can someone be so good looking, and kind like him? I wish I could be as kind-hearted as Seo Ho-oppa.

I opened the door and the room went silent, maybe they thought I was oppa. When they saw that it's just me, they went back talking aloud among themselves. Yuqi was leading the noise with her loud voice, of course. She paired up with Shuhua, aww.. that's cute. I'm glad to know that they could have a peaceful time like this.

Nope.

I was wrong. They were arguing about what song to perform.

Shuhua's suggesting they sing something popular, while Yuqi's saying they should choose a high pitch song since it would amaze the audience. When they can't decide what to choose, Yuqi turns to me. Uh-oh.

"I-I think, singing something that everyone could follow along is a great idea, Shuhua."

Yuqi pouts at me, "Fine."

I saw Shuhua smirks at Yuqi, and I smile instantly knowing quite well that I elicited that expression from her by supporting her side of the argument. I mean, I hope she thinks I am in her good side. I never wanna see that scary face she made a while ago, again. That Shuhua terrifies me.

Seo Ho-oppa came in a little after and dismissed the class. Smiling like a fool among his self. Is he really that happy to give me a not-so-free vocal lessons? He must be a real-life angel.

As we were walking back to the cafeteria (a place in this school I'm starting to like), a group of Yuqi and Shuhua's classmates walked beside us. Four guys, and one of the guy being the annoying Kim Woojin. He placed his arm around Yuqi's neck, who was at my right and the closest to him, and peek at Shuhua who was at my left.

"Hey, cutie. See you later." He winked at her then walked ahead.

I was watching the whole time, and Shuhua didn't even bat an eye at his direction. Not even listening to him. Poor guy.

Yeah, right. Says the girl who's been living with the girl who doesn't even talk to her.

"What was that about?"

I looked at Shuhua but she just shrugs her shoulders, I then, glanced at Yuqi for some answers.

"Woojin-oppa? He's been pestering Shuhua to a date for months now. I heard he's supposed to be in your year by now, unnie. But he kept on failing his grade, so now, he's stuck with us."

"I see. That's awful."

"Awful that he kept on failing, or that he's asking Shuhua, who's three years younger than him, for a date?" Yuqi asks.

"Yah.. Age doesn't matter with love. But yeah, both are awful."

"Unnie, age does matter, especially if the case is ped*philia or ch*ld gr*oming." Yuqi narrows her eyes at me.

I narrowed my eyes back at her and placed my hands in my waist, "Yuqi-ah, I said 'Age doesn't matter with love', but what you're saying is not about love, it's about se*ual feelings and ab*se. So technically, my statement still stands."

"Yah.. You two. I'm hungry. Let's eat." Shuhua complains.

"Sorry, Shuhua-ya."

"Alright, fine. Let's go." Yuqi didn't retort more, thankfully, and our conversation-turned-to-almost-debate was cut short thanks to Shuhua.
