And so, here we are. Chilling inside my family's van. Dad was alone at the front playing songs on the stereo to give us some privacy to talk among ourselves as we drive towards home.
"Your Dad seems pretty cool, Miyeon-unnie." Yuqi reached out from her seat at the back to get some chips.
"Yeah, that's the exact word to describe him. By the way, I'm sorry for not inviting you guys in advance, this week has been really tough that I forgot about my Mom's request of meeting all of you."
"It's okay, Miyeon-ah. We don't have anything to do at the dorm, anyway." Minnie said from my right.
"Minnie-ah, you're not planning on going back to Thailand today, are you? If you are, then I'm really sorry for messing up your plan."
"No, no.. I only visit home once a month, so you're not messing up anything. Don't worry." She smiled reassuringly to me.
"That's a relief. Thank you again for coming, all of you."
"Eyy.. It's nothing, unnie. Really." Yuqi chuckles.
So you guys might be asking how I managed to convinced them to come. Well, I was wondering about the same thing.
After Dad called me a while ago, the girls entered the dorm. They seem excited to see me, except well, Shuhua. She looks at me indifferently, with no emotions whatsoever.
"Miyeon-unnie, are you okay?" Soyeon asked me.
I was on my way to mine and Minnie's shared cabinet when they open the door to our room.
"Unnie, did you talk with Sir Lee?" Yuqi asked almost at the same time.
"What?"
They repeated their questions but, once again, at the same time.
"Miyeon-ah, are you leaving because of what happened??" Minnie seems to be worried, seeing I was holding my traveling bag as I was about to pack some clothes for my weekend visit to my parents. "Yaaa... It's okay, we understand that you're shy back there, but you don't have to be embarrassed in front of us. We're like a family already. And you can't leave just like that!"
"W-What are you talking about?"
"The bag. You're leaving, aren't you?"
"What? No! I mean, yes, but no! I'm just packing up for the weekends."
"Oh."
Yuqi laughed, "Minnie-unnie, stupid~"
Minnie stuck out her tongue on Yuqi and rolled her eyes.
"I'm okay, Minnie. Ahmm.. Are you guys free tonight, as well as the weekends?"
"Why, unnie?" Soojin, who's usually quiet, asked.
"My Mom actually wanted to meet you since last week, but I'm too shy to ask you guys. But... I kinda lied to my Dad just now about you agreeing to come. So——"
"I'm in."
"Me too."
"Yeah sure, let's go!"
"Okay. Let's pack some clothes then."
"How about you, Shuhua-ya?"
Everyone looks at Shuhua, waiting for her answer. Even I, was holding my breath anticipating, until she shrugged her shoulders, "I'm not going to stay here. Alone."
"It's decided then, how much time do we have to get ready, unnie?" Soyeon looked at the time on her phone, I did the same.
"About thirty minutes, maybe?"
