"Loud and clear." Spencer replied to Derek. He knew that he could count on Derek about anything. For now, he wanted to keep Y/N for himself.

That's when he made the wrong move.

The team has been working the case for three days now. The unsub has no cooling-off period, killing three more families since they landed. The profile says that the unsub is a white female, brunette. The age range has decreased to 17 to 19 years old. The height of the unsub being 5'9 to 5'11 since the last killed father was able to fight her. She easily tackled the father to the ground, the father being 5'6 in height, increasing the stab wounds. Meaning that the kills are devolving. She's closer to her end game.

The team was close to finding the unsub before killing her next target, her parents.

"The unsub is Nicole Hodge. She's 5'9, brunette, lives at 703 Evergreen Lane. A gated community. Her parents just landed a few hours ago from their business trip." Garcia said through the speaker.

"On it, baby girl." Morgan said to Garcia while looking at the team.

The team went and rode their SUVs, catching the unsub before she got the chance to finish her plan. When they arrived at the house, they were able to apprehend Nicole. She has already tied up her parents into a chair. She intended to inflict more pain compared to the recent families.

They rode back to the police station, gathered all their things and made their way to the jet. Spencer's thoughts went to Y/N. He hasn't messaged her yet since leaving her apartment without anything. He wanted her to give her time to be ready to open up to him. He wanted to help her get the calm and peace he found with her.

They were now on the way back to Virginia. Spencer can't wait to see Y/N again. He's planning to surprise her with flowers and take-out. He's hoping that Y/N's okay. He had an explanation on why he didn't message her.

"You okay, kid?" Rossi asked, looking at Spencer for a time.

"Good." Spencer replied shortly, avoiding eye contact. Rossi was about to speak up when their conversation was interrupted by Morgan.

"Rossi, Reid, drinks later?"

"Sure. How about you, kid?"

"I think I'm going to pass." Spencer answered to the both of them.

The flight was shorter than Spencer expected. When they arrived, the team was waiting for further instructions from Hotch.

"You have a day off. Paperwork will start after that. Go home." Hotch said, giving a tired smile.

Spencer didn't bother to bid his goodbyes to his team. He made his way to his car and drove to the nearest flower shop. He got green roses. Green roses can impart a sense of balance, stability and peace to the mind. Spencer knew Y/N needed that. He also got Indian take-out. Spencer wasn't sure if Y/N had eaten yet. Just in case she hasn't, at least he brought food.

On the way to her apartment, Spencer practiced what he was going to say.

"Good evening Y/N. I brought flowers for you and food."

Nope, too formal.

"Hi Y/N! I missed you. I'm sorry for not messaging you."

No, too excited.

He continued on practicing, reciting every greeting he could think of. Usually, Spencer didn't plan on things to say. He can ramble all the knowledge he knows. But, Y/N was important to him. He wanted Y/N to know that his intentions were nothing similar to her nightmare.
