"Luca, I'm sorry,"
That's what I remember before I had blacked out. Now, I'm locked inside a room with no windows. My cellphone's gone so I have no idea how to contact Jaxon.
So many questions fill me head. Why would Elijah betray Jaxon? Where did he take me? Why didn't I talk to Charlie or Riley before this happened? Am I going to die here?
I wanted to scream, cry, freak out. Anything to make someone open this goddamn door and let me out.
"Let me the fuck out of here!"
As soon as I pick up a chair, and about to throw it, the door clicks open and in walks Colton. His wolf like smile gives me the creeps, if only I had my gun.
Then it hits me, I still have my knife. I don't know how they missed taking it but thank god they didn't. I kept an eye on Colton as he walked closer to me, making sure to note his every move. When he got as close as I wanted him to, I kneeled down and grabbed the pocket knife from my shoe.
I rushed at Colton and stabbed him in the stomach. I threw him to the floor, kicked him for fun, and ran out of the room. I had no idea where I was going, I was just running. I looked back to see if anyone was following me and that was when I bumped into something or someone.
"Luca!?! How did you get out?"
It was Elijah. I panicked and slashed at him with the knife. It didn't do much since he backed away. He then grabbed my wrist and twisted it behind my back, making me drop the knife.
"We're not going to hurt you!" He says.
"Then why the hell am I here?! And where am I?!"
"The home of the leader of the Crimson Wolves, Oliver King, Jaxon's grandfather."
Jaxon's grandfather, Oliver King. Why does that name sound so familiar?
"Okay, that's one question down. What about why am I here?" I say as we start walking.
"Grandfather wanted to meet with you and have a little chat."
We walk for what feels like forever until we arrive at a door. Elijah knocks before we enter. The room is pretty big, pictures everywhere, two chairs and a desk in the center of the room. I see a man, somewhat older than my father, standing in front of a window.
"Welcome Luca, please have a seat," he says.
Elijah let's go of my arm, sits me in the chair across and leaves the room.
"So, you're Jaxon's grandfather?" I ask.
He smiles, "the one and only. Thank you for being with him."
I was confused, "in the movies, someone of your status would want me to stay away from their family. Why thank me?"
"Elijah keeps me updated on everything Jaxon does. Since you're with him, Elijah also began keeping tabs on you. You're good for Jaxon, you are capable of loving him more than anyone."
I blush, "You know about that?"
He laughs, "I do. But I also fear what is to come next."
He stopped laughing and looked at me with a serious look. I'm not gonna lie, a chill ran down my spine.
"What do you mean?"
He looked at me, "I hear you don't know about your past, would like to know about it?"
"What do you know about my past?"
"A lot more than Jaxon knows."
I pale, "What does that mean?"
