Farkle's POV
I couldn't stay down there forever. I knew that. The sewer smelled rank and I needed water and food badly. I knew hiding from my problems is easy, but I needed to face the fact that...Maya and Riley are...gone. I'm not the one missing here, its them. They need each other to survive, I guess they don't me. Or at least Maya doesn't. She said that it was all my fault when in reality it was nobody's! She didn't mean it I tell myself. It was time to get out of here.
Riley's POV
I hearded a knock on the door.
"Farkle?!" I said as I ran to the door.
"Its Maya let me in!" She said. I sighed. I opened the door and let her in. She was covered in mud and grime.
"Maya what happened?!"
"I went looking for Farkle. I couldn't find him." We both teared up then hugged each other, our heads hanging.
Farkle's POV
I stood in the doorway of the Matthews household and looked at the two girls crying.
"Ladies." I said. The glanced up then Riley and Maya ran over to me and tackled me.
"Ack!" I heaved.
"Farkle!" Maya said, staring deeply into my eyes.
"Maya" I said back. We just hugged. I was glad she was fine and she was glad I was fine too, I guess.
"Farkle why'd you run off like that?" Riley asked. I didn't answer her. I just felt the warmth of Maya against me. It was soothing considering all I had been through.
"I think I should go home." Maya said.
"You're already home, here in my arms."
