Chapter 28: Toby and Kian

"It's a girl!" The doctor announced

Me, Katie and Nick all looked at her. She was gorgeous. She had big brown eyes, just like Nick and Katie. She looked somewhat like Katie.

I smiled at Katie "Aww, Katie, she looks just like you!"

Katie chuckled "She's so sweet."

"You're the oldest of 4 now, Sydney." Mom said, rocking the baby girl

I chuckled "Yeah."

Paul smiled at me "Are you happy about that?"

I nodded "So happy."

"So what's her name?" I asked

Mom looked at the three of us "Well we have Sydney Ashley. Katie Taylor. Nick Michael.."

"Okay, just tell us what the baby's name is!" Katie whined

Mom smiled "Her name is Toby Drew."

Paul smiled "Toby Drew Daniels."

"That's so cute!" I said

Nick seemed very off since the baby was born

"Nicky, everything alright?" Mom asked him

Nick shrugged

I had a feeling he was jealous of this new baby getting lots of attention. I was so sure Nick would love Toby

*1 week later. At Kian's house*

"Your baby sister is the cutest thing ever." Kian told me

"Aww, thank you! Look, ever since we got back together, I don't think we've done enough. We should do a vacation! I didn't get to go on the cruise last month." I said to Kian

Kian looked at me like I was crazy "Sydney, are you insane?! We can't afford another vacation! We're only 18!"

"So?" I said

Kian sighed "I understand your life almost came to an end. Twice. But we can't just do whatever we want whenever we want. We need to wait until we're mature enough to handle a vacation."

I looked at him funny "Well then, why did you get my tickets to a cruise for my birthday?"

He gave me a sexy smile "I didn't only give you tickets to a cruise..."

I rolled my eyes and chuckled a bit "Kian! Let's be serious here! Why would you give me that for my birthday then?"

"A birthday is so different from any other day, Sydney. It was a present for you and you obviously couldn't go. We'll go on a nice vacation, just the two of us, one day. I promise." Kian said

"You promise?" I asked

"I pinky swear." He said as we linked our pinkies

Kian and I came back to my house at 6:00. Paul was busy making dinner. The table was set for 8

I came in to the kitchen and asked Paul "Hey, uh, Paul, how come the table is set for 8? Well 9." I said as I noticed the high chair set for Toby

Paul answered me "Sydney! Stop calling me Paul! What happened to "dad?"

"You're not my dad though!" I told him

"Well, you're going to have to live with that!" He said

That was the meanest thing he had ever said to me. By this point, I wanted to find and meet my real dad and get out of this house. But how was I going to do this?
