Chapter 22: Near Death Experience

I quickly pulled away "Trevor! What the hell?!"

He smiled and grabbed my arm "Come here, cutie. I know you want me."

I pulled away "No!"

I ran out of his house and he chased me down 3 blocks. But not for long

I saw a red small car right in front of
me. That was the last thing I saw

I woke up in a hospital bed. Nobody was in there

"W-where am I?" I asked quietly

A young nice looking nurse walked in and smiled at me "Hello. Sydney Daniels?"

I nodded "Yes."

The nurse said "Well, honey, there was a car coming at you. You could have been killed! But a boy pushed you out of the way and risked his life for you."

I panicked "W-which boy?"

She looked at her clipboard "Uh, Trevor Moran."

Trevor Moran?!

My eyes widened "Trevor Moran?!"

She nodded

I teared up and was about to cry "Is he dead?"

She nodded sadly "I'm sorry, sweetie."

I put my head in my hands and started crying

The nurse sat beside me "Some people are here to see you. Do you want to see anybody right now?"

I nodded and sniffled

The nurse nodded at me "Okay, sweetie." She went outside and I saw her wave her hand to some people

Paul, mom, Katie, Nick, Kian, JC and Connor all came in

I assumed the guys were here because of Trevor but they all hugged me and told me they were so glad I was alive. But I have now had 2 near death experiences in less than 2 months

Now "The Guys" only had 5 people. But I felt 4 because Sam was apparently too busy to come see me

Seeing Kian there was the best though. He gave me a hug and kissed my head and told me he was so glad I was okay and he doesn't ever want to leave me

I didn't know what was going on. Did he just want to date me forever? Was he going to propose? I didn't know though because at that moment I fell asleep....

I woke up, what felt like months later, but it was only 2 hours later. I was surrounded by JC, Ricky, Connor, Kian and Carly

Carly really didn't look happy to be there. She looked embarrassed because if I were in her position, I would think it was my fault. It really wasn't though, even though I hated the girl

But the fact that Carly showed up and Sam didn't made me feel like crap. But I kind of knew "The Guys" wouldn't last. We're out of high school and all going away to different universities in less than 3 months. My mom was now due in less than 3 weeks so I really wanted to be fine soon but I still had no idea what was wrong with me

I turned to JC, who was on the right side of me holding my hand "JC? What happened?"

He turned to me and said "When Trevor pushed you out of the way, I think you broke a few bones."

I nodded

There was silence for a few minutes until Carly spoke up "Listen, Sydney, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault. I never should have brought that stupid bag anyway. I've been a terrible friend to you and if you don't want to speak to me ever again after this, I understand."

I didn't know what to say. I kept quiet for 5 minutes. "Thank you, Carly." I told her

I felt kind of bad. She must have felt so embarrassed. I suddenly thought about her differently. She's not what I thought she was

Kian was on my left side and he was stroking my hand with his thumb. I screeched and we all laughed. It was nice to have a laugh with the group even though 2, possibly 3 of us were gone.
