Chapter 39: Then It Hit Me

"First your friend Ricky and his sister, now my ex boyfriend?!" Mom shouted loudly

I hushed her. "Keep your voice down! Katie's got a big mouth."

My phone buzzed. I was getting a call from a number I've never seen before. I made a face, walked away and picked it up

"Hello?" I said and heard a girl's voice

"Look. I don't know who the hell your mom thinks she is falling in love with my dad. But you're a slut and Kian is mine. We already had sex twice. I swear, if my dad says he loves your mom, you better believe that your family is going to be sorry." I heard Andrea Russett say

"Andrea? I said in confusion "How did you get my number?"

"I'm with Carly. So, shut up. She's my best friend, not yours." She said

"Andrea...why do you hate me so much? What did I ever do to you? You're with Kian now. Why do you still hate my guts?" I asked her

She was crying by now. "Because you ruined my life!" And hung up

I was very confused. Why did this girl treat me like crap and hate me? How did I ruin her life? This all was getting weird and didn't make any sense to me anymore. I wanted to call Kian. Just as a friend. I was praying he wasn't with Andrea

I dialled his number

He picked up. "Hello?" He said

A smile came across my face. "Kian?"

"Uhh...who is this?" He asked

My smile quickly turned into a scowl. "It's Sydney Danie---Parken. Sydney Parken."

"I don't get it." He said

"Brock came back!" I told him

"Listen, Sydney, I don't wanna talk to you anymore. Breaking things off was the right thing to do. We haven't spoken in days and that's the way it's gonna stay. I'm sorry. I can't date a girl who only wants sex. I don't love you. If you get a boyfriend, I'll be happy for you. But there's nothing you can do or say to get me to forgive you." He said "Sorry."

"Kian--I--." I tried to say, but he already hung up the phone

I started crying. I knew I still loved him. He was way more important to me than Ricky by this point. I knew Kian well and he was never going to forgive me. This was the end of #Sian and the beginning of #Rydney. But I didn't want Ricky anymore. I missed Kian. I had to get him back. I knew I was falling in love with him. But who could help me? All of my friends are Kian's friends and they would never come in between our relationship. Then, it hit me. Somebody's been there for me this whole way and I've never given them any credit. I've known them since 4th grade. It was Harley. I knew she was my only true friend. We were also going to universities that were only an hour away from each other

I dialled her number

"Hello?" I heard her say

"Harley! We haven't spoken in forever! I miss you!" I said

She laughed "Oh hi, Sydney Parken."

I laughed along "How did you know?"

"You changed your name on Facebook pretty fast." She said

"Yeah. My mom's going to kill me." I said and we both had a good laugh

I felt so bad not paying a lot of attention to Harley. She was done with Eleni only a few months after I was. She must have felt so alone. I mean, I payed attention to her, but barely

"Harley, I'm so sorry for not talking to you a lot. I've just been through so much ever since Andrea Russett almost killed me." I said to her

"Don't worry about Andrea. She's a bitch." She said

"I know right?! Listen, I'm in the worst situation possible. Can you help me?" I asked

"Of course, girl." She said

"So after Paul and my mom separated, my mom went on an online dating site and met a Mexican dude named Sebastian. His kids are Andrea Russett and her sister." I said

"No way!" She said

"I know! I just got a call from her. I don't even know if it was a threat, but she said she's going to ruin me if her dad falls in love with my mom. She's also dating Kian and he hates me now." I said

"I'm so sorry. You've been through so much and I haven't even been there for you!" She said sadly

"Are you kidding me?! It's all my fault! I've been avoiding you constantly! I said

"No, you haven't. It's me. Trust me." She said

"Oh, shut up Harley!" I said and we both had another good laugh

I really missed Harley and was glad I could talk to her again

"But, I need your help with something." I went on

"Yeah?" She asked

"Brock still wants my mom which works out perfectly because of the whole Russett situation. Can you help me?" I asked her

"Absolutely. You won't like my advice, but it's going to work." She said

"Just say it." I said impatiently

"You have to work with Andrea and break your mom and her dad up." She said

"Are you crazy?! No! I'm not working with that psychopath." I said

"It's the only way out, Sydney. You wanted my advice, I gave you it. Good luck. Talk to you later, girl. Bye." She said and hung up

I knew that working with Andrea would work. I just didn't want to believe it because Andrea stole the boy I was in love with and she also tried to kill me! I was going to work with her. Hopefully, she'd agree
