Chapter 38: Reunited/1st Time Meeting

I felt weird knowing that I'm kind of dating Ricky now. Him and his sister, Sharon were coming to live with us in 3 days. But what I expected to happen with Brock went totally different. Brock knocked on my door a few hours after I got home

I took a deep breath "Alright, here we go."

I went downstairs and opened the door. There, was Brock Parken. I threw my arms around him "Dad!" He hugged back "Sydney!"

Mom came to the door "Brock?!"

I looked at mom "Mom, you remember Brock Parken from 18 years ago?"

Mom crossed her arms and looked mad "Uh-Huh. How could I not? Sydney, can I talk to you in the kitchen please?"

"Can Brock come?" I asked her

"Alone, please." She said to me

I sighed and went in with her

"What the hell is the matter with you?!" She asked me quietly

I looked at her like she was insane "What's wrong with me?! Mom, Brock is my real dad and you told me I could find my real dad." I said quietly

"Why on earth would you bring him into this house?!" She asked quietly "What's wrong with your brain?!"

I looked at her in disbelief "Did you actually just say that to me?" I asked quietly

She nodded

I took a deep breath. I knew I had to be calm in this situation, or else it would just make her more angry. "Mom...just talk to him. You might find out he's not so bad."

She rolled her eyes and walked up to Brock, who was standing there quietly and patiently

"Hello, Brock." Mom said to him, giving him a fake smile

Brock gave her a nice smile "Hello, Laura. How's everything been?"

She crossed her arms "Oh...you know. Same old."

"Clearly not." Brock said "I had no idea I had a daughter that went by the last name Daniels."

I chuckled nervously to try and stop the tension

Mom chuckled nervously too "Well...uh, actually, Daniels was my ex husband's last name. But now that you're here and Sydney knows her real father, she can go by Parken."

My face lit up "Seriously?!"

Mom nodded "It's your decision, not mine."

Brock and I looked at each other and smiled. Before I knew it, not only was i hugging my dad, but I was out for sushi with him

*Sushi Restaurant*

"I'm so glad we could be reunited, Sydney. I always knew my kid was somewhere." Brock told me

I raised my eyebrow. "How did you know you had a kid?"

He sighed. "Your mom was the only woman in the world I truly cared about. I always tried to find ways to win her back."

"Do you still want her back?" I asked him

He nodded slowly and that gave me an idea
