volleyball tryouts

After getting changed into your spandex (volleyball shorts if u dont know what they are then look at the picture above^) you walk back out on the court. keep in mind your school uniform is kind of baggy on you so it didnt show off your curves at all.

you take one final look in the mirror and realize you look like such a baddie, since your hair is long you tie it up and take out strands to make it look pretty. you walk back to the gym and everyones jaw drops, (except your uncles ofc but u get the point), the whole team gets nose bleeds. you turn red once again but just quickly hurry to where everyone is starting warmups. "OI DID YALL FORGET IM HER UNCLE ? WIPE YOUR DAMN NOSES" coach ukai yells, u cant help but bust out laughing.

after warmups are over coach says to pick a partner for passes. before he can explain what we're doing everyone runs up to ask to be your partner, everyone but tsukki. hes too stubborn to admit that he wants to be your partner. as soon as coach sees what a hassle this would be, he decides to just do individual work. he tells everyone to get in a line and tells the setters to get in a line close to the net. "this practice will be all about aim and just to get an idea of if you're coachable, if you can hit well, that kinda stuff" u decide to go to the back of the line. "so you dont wanna go first either ?" a green haired freckled softie says. "i just kinda wanna see how this goes honestly" you shock yourself with how nicely you said that, your soft side is really showing out already. Hinata is so eager he decides to go first. The setter for him is suga, as soon as suga sets it up i know that Hinata is gonna hit it out, he built up so much energy he forgot to face his palm the right way, although he astonishes everyone with how high he can jump although little do they know you can jump higher. you guys used to have jumping competitions all the time and because of your height advantage you won by just a few inches. after he hits it out his face turns pale, he walks slowly to the back of the line, you decide u better bring his spirits back up. "OKAY PERIOD HINATA SHOW THEM HOW HIGH U CAN JUMP U GOT IT" he jerks his head up at you, with a big grin. you give him a soft smile as the people in front of you hit. you already know for a fact that asahi, daichi, and suga all made the team because you DEFINITELY didnt take a peek at ur uncles board.....anyways, your turn is about to come up, the last person in front of you is tsukki, since yamaguchi decided to cut in front after u boosted his confidence, he had to have made the team with his incredible form. suga is up to set again but this time for tsukki. before he hits the ball he looks back at you and winks, "lemme show u how to hit properly 😌" he says
you grin and roll your eyes. he gets a perfect ace (there are extras receiving the ball), and walks off with his head held high. you chuckle at the dumbass and get ready for your hit. kageyama is your setter and he looks a little shaken up. you've heard his name on headlines before and decided to read the story. before you hit you walk over to him, the guys look confused but u know what you're doing. you have to tell him to bend down so you can whisper in his ear.
"kageyama-kun im gonna hit it. i know you're a good setter, i believe that i will hit it. you've got my word, you're gonna set it straight to me, and im gonna hit it." and before he can respond you walk back to your spot. he gives u a nod and looks much more confident. you hear a few whispers like "what did she say to him" & "i want her to whisper in my ear like that" u focus on your form though. you use volleyball as a way to take out all your anger, resentment, and hatred towards your father, as soon as you hear the whistle blow, you watch the set, jump to match the height, and plow through the ball with all your might (omg that rhymed dr. seuss who ??) the ball hit the ground so fast no one really saw it. you jump up excitedly and tackle kageyama with a smile "U DID IT !!! WE DID IT !!!" he starts giggling and looks amazed that he just did that. the team cant tell whether to be shocked because you hit so well or to be shocked because kageyama is giggling on the ground with you. you get off of him and help him up. "SHES SO PERFECT OH MY GOD" noya eventually says. you giggle and walk over to tsukki "now THATS a proper hit ;)" and stick out ur tongue playfully. "I'll show u a another kind of proper hit if you keep it up" he mumbles not meaning for you to actually hear it although you do. you turn bright red and go "oop- shut up idiot" he just giggles at how flustered you got.
