the rise of the crows (hint to the next few chapters)

[authors note: i know the last chapter ended "before class" but this is gonna be fast forwarded to volleyball practice with the guys after school!!]

After the bell rings for your last period you gather your things. You put your notes in your bag and swing it over your shoulder. Your hair falls in your face as you bend over a little to grab a pencil off the floor. You feel a hand softly tuck your hair behind your ear and out of the way. "what the-" you look up to see yamaguchi standing there with a scared look on his face. your face turns soft as he says "im sorry it was in your face and i didnt know if you wanted it there and i-" he stumbles over his words. "yams omg its okay, thank you" you say in a soft tone. he nods and then begins to speak again. "i just wanted to say thank you for sticking up for me, im so used to his taunting that i dont really see it as an issue anymore" you just throw your arms around him and say "ofc thats what im here for !! I'll put that giant in his place dont worry" and with that the two of you walk to the locker rooms together and you go in the girls locker room and he goes in the boys. while youre getting your gear on you hear a few whispers from the other volleyball team (the girls vball team) saying "i bet shes just on the boys team to hook up with them" and other mean things. you quickly snap back with "aww you're scared im gonna take your man? cause i will" and finish changing. You've heard way worse things come from your own family so bullies never fazed you. As you finish changing you walk in to the main gym while the girls go to the smaller one. "okay is everyone here? I have a big announcement today" ukai says. "daichi had to finish something up for class, he's still changing" suga says. you zone out and scan the room to look for tsukki and find the guys staring at you again. you blush and try to take a step back so you can calm yourself down but you back yourself into someone. the stranger puts his hands over your eyes and says "guess who it is" and it hits you as soon as he opens his mouth. tsukki. you decide to toy with him a little and back yourself into him even more [if ykyk ;)], and he lets out a little gasp "hmm i think its a bum who lost a fight to a girl" you giggle and wiggle out of his grasp. you see him blushing as he tries to come up with a comeback. "awh cat got your tongue?" you taunt, he scoffs and says "n-no" as tanaka comes and says "OHOHHHH ROUND TWOOO ?? Y/N TAKE HIS GLASSES AGAIN" you playfully hit tanaka and laugh. "o-oh y/n you've never touched me before- LETS GET MARRIED IK THE FEELINGS ARE MUTUAL NOW" you roll your eyes as nishinoya emerges from the group of guys just watching this encounter. "Y/N CHAN HIT ME TOO !! NO FAIR HES THE ONLY ONE" you just giggle and call him a weirdo and watch as he melts. daichi comes from out of the locker room and apologizes for taking so long. the team sits down on the floor for a huddle and you decide to sit with ur back against the wall. tanaka and noya come to sit by you but daichi and asahi beat them to it. the principal walks in and asks if he can talk to ukai for a few minutes. they start babbling so you start feeling tired so you let out a yawn. "tired?" asahi asks. you nod your head and rub your eyes a little. "is it okay if i put my head in your lap?" you ask him. he looks shocked at first and just lets out a small "mhm". you take your hair out of the pony tail because it kind if hurts your head and lay your head in his lap. you start drifting off. soon you wake up to a small nudge. "hey sleepyhead we're starting practice get off him" tsukki says bluntly. he looks...jealous? you rub your eyes and say "i need a longer nap" to him. you see his expression soften at your tiredness, "just get off him please, you can take a nap on me later." he says and tries to lift you off him. asahi just rubs the back of his neck "she can do what she wants" he says nervously giggling. after stretching a little bit tsukki reaches out his hand as asahi goes off to start practicing. "let me help you up" you giggle
"you were totally jealous"
"what ? me? no i wasn't"
"yeah you were !! you were all (making ur voice deeper) get off of him"
he chuckles at your impersonation "I dont sound like that"
you just playfully push him. during practice you catch hinata extra excited. "hey hinata...you seem so much excited than usual, did i miss something?" u ask
"oh yeah you were sleeping, we have a game next week!! I can't wait to show off my awesome moves, im gonna slam the ball in people's faces just u watch!" he rambles. you love listening to him ramble because hes just a pure ball of joy. *wait. a GAME?* you think to yourself. "WE HAVE A GAME ? NEXT WEEK? OMGJSHDNF WHY DID NO ONE WAKE ME UP" you start getting excited.
"you look so peaceful when you sleep, or at least thats what tsukki said, he got all soft it was so scary" hinata shivers. "also asahi looked really comfy, he actually fell asleep a little too, but tsukki couldnt stop staring at you two he was all like grrrr👺 and everything, but it wasnt as scary as when he got soft for you, hes NEVER soft, it was so...weird" he says. you smirk at the thought of him being soft. *so he was jealous* u think to yourself. soon the coach calls you all to a huddle before practice ends. "okay guys as you know we have a game next week, its going to be the first match after the title of "a powerhouse school" has left our team. i want each and every one of you to give it your all. I just got told it was going to be mentioned in the news so expect the word to get around fast. we will regain the title of a powerhouse school and even become champions. i believe in you all" ukai says, "We have improved a lot and gotten used to eachothers abilities in this short amount of time we've been together, although i know you guys can improve even more before our game. I will have the lineup and whos starting by the end of this week, i will choose based off of how much effort you put in and off the court. thats all for now, make sure you're passing all your classes so you are able to play next week. you all know the rules. we'll meet here again tomorrow after school, make sure you're ready to put in work, goodnight" he finishes. You walk to the locker room to grab your things as you get smirks from the girls on the other volleyball team. *they did something to my stuff* you think because why else would they be smirking at you. as soon as you enter the locker room you find your locker spray painted [TW: STRONG LANGUAGE, IF YOURE NOT COMFORTABLE WITH THAT PLS CLICK OFF NOW]
with words like "slut", "hoe", "whore" all over. You giggle and shrug it off. its gonna take so much more to get you to snap. you open your locker to grab your things. *at least they don't have the combination* and you walk out with ur head held high. "bye ladies :)" you say with a smile on your face. they scoff and mumble bc ur unfazed. you walk out to find ukai's car and realize he isn't there yet. you put ur bag on top of the car and wait for him. you pull out your phone to see unread messages from the groupchat.
