Back Off Buddy

Noah's POV

I stood up from the table and walked back into the school.

I could hear Blake's footsteps behind me, but I just kept walking.

"Noah, please don't do anything. You'll just make it worse!" He yelled.

As much as I wanted to listen to Blake, I just couldn't.

Bryce needed to feel the same pain he caused Blake all those times.

I had taken a special interest in Blake when I first met him in our English class.

We were partners for an activity and something immediately drew me to him.

Maybe it was his child like excitement or his beautiful flower crowns.

Whatever is was, it made me feel extremely protective over him.

The obnoxiously loud bell rung throughout the building and every classroom door burst open.

I saw Bryce and his friends walking towards their lockers.

"Oh hey Beck, what's up?" Bryce asked, holding out his hand for me to dab him up.

"I don't know Bryce, maybe it's the fact that you've been bullying Blake for no reason."

"Uh, there is a reason. He's gay." He said as if it were the most obvious thing.

"Ok, and?! Leave him alone or else I'll repay you for every single bruise you left on his body." He rolled his eyes.

"Sure you will. You're all talk."

I lunged at him, giving him a swift punch in the jaw.

He tried to hit back, but I ducked down and punched him in the gut.

Bryce clutched his stomach and jaw, trying to kick at me but forgetting that I play soccer.

I kicked him in both of his shins. He fell to the ground, glaring up at Blake and I.

"Still think I'm all talk?" I asked before walking away.

Blake caught up with me and pulled me into a hug.

"Thank you so much! No one's ever stood up for me like that."

"Of course. If he hurts you again, let me know, ok?" He nodded.

It was lunch time now and usually I would sit with my friends, but maybe I'll sit with Blake today.

Blake's POV

I can't believe Noah did that for me, he is literally so nice.

I left his side to go find my friends Jaden, Kio, and Quinton.

"Hey bitch, where ya been?" Jaden asked as I sat down at the table.

"You'll never guess what happened?!"

I went on to tell them the whole story of how Noah helped me and beat up Bryce.

Just as my swooning came to an end, I saw a shadow cast over our table.

I looked up, scared I would see Bryce, but instead Noah and his friends, Dixie, Addison, and Curtis were standing there.

"Hey guys, mind if we sit with you?" Noah asked.

"Not at all." Jaden responded, scooting down and giving me a smirk.
