Noah's POV

"Dixie, Dixie, Dixie?" I asked repeatedly, poking her shoulder nonstop.

"What?" She pushed my hand away and continued unpacking her things.

"Blake and I made out!"

"So?" She rolled her eyes and slammed her locker door shut.

"Woah, I thought you wanted us together?"

"So did I." Dixie mumbled, walking away before I could respond.

Hmm? I wonder what's up with her. I shrugged it off and headed to find Blake so we could go to English.

I saw him talking to his friends by their lockers, and couldn't help but to stop and stare as they went on and on about something.

But I wasn't concerned with the conversation, just so intrigued by Blake's beauty.

"Noah? Are you ok?" Blake asked, waving his hand in front of my face.

"Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking."

"About?"

"You." He blushed and grabbed my hand as we started walking to our first class.

After we sat down, we talked about random things while waiting for our teacher to show up, but she never does.

"Hey, has Dixie been acting weird around you?"

"I don't know, we're not that close. Why?" He scooted closer to me, his face laced with concern.

"She's been kind of distant since we got together."

"Well, maybe she likes you." I laughed, so hard that tears we filling my eyes.

"Then w-why would she play matchmaker?" I asked, still struggling to breathe.

"I don't know. Stop laughing so loud, you're making a scene."

When I finally gained composure, I realized the entire class was staring at me like I was insane.

"Sorry, it's just funny. We've been friends since elementary school."

"That doesn't mean that she can't like you."

Our teacher burst into the classroom, apologizing for being late and promising no homework.

Class ended pretty quickly since she was super late. We all gathered our stuff and walked out the door quickly before she could change her mind about the homework.

"I think you should talk to Dixie."

"I guess." I let out a long sigh, walking up to her locker where she already was.

She busied herself the minute she saw me and I knew now that something was definitely wrong.

"Dix, can we talk?"

"Go ahead."

"Why have you been so weird lately? Are we not spending enough time together?"

Dixie gave me a look before speaking, "I'll cut to the chase Noah. I like you, always have, it just took you being with someone else for me to realize it."

"Then why did you help me get with Blake?"

"Because I could tell you liked him, not me, so I wanted you to be happy." She said with a sad smile.

"Oh, well, that was really nice. We can still be friends though."

"Really?" Her smile started becoming more genuine.

"Of course."

I opened my arms for a hug and she hugged me tightly, gripping my shirt.

"Noah, just know this, I will stop at nothing until we're together." She said, smirking at something behind me.

With that, she pulled back, sauntering down the hallway and leaving me shocked.

I thought we'd agree to be friends and everything would go back to normal, but I guess she had other plans.

As much as I hate to admit it, I kinda like the idea of two people fighting over me, but I pushed that thought away.

I would choose Blake no matter what, even though Dixie could come up with a lot of things to try and separate us.

I felt a light tap on my shoulder and turned around to see Blake standing there with an angry expression, hands on his hips.

"I take it you heard our conversation."

"Yeah, and I'm gonna go set her straight." He said, already fuming with rage.

"No you're not. She just wants attention, and if we don't give it to her, she'll get upset and leave us alone."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive." I pulled him into a hug for comfort, and to make sure he didn't go attack Dixie.

He gasped, "I just realized something!"

"What?"

"I was right, about Dixie liking you!"

"And you're happy about that?" I asked, confused at his excitement.

"No, not at all. I didn't want to be right, but since I am , you should apologize for laughing in my face."

"Aww, Blakie! I'm so so so so sorry." I left kisses all over his face, causing him to giggle.

Eventually, the kisses moved down to his lips and I pulled him closer to me by his waist.

He pushed me back a little, "Not in the hall."

"Ok." I smirked and pulled him towards an empty classroom.
