Blake's POV

Noah and I had been working on the project for about an hour now, and nothing was getting done.

Every idea I came up with he just nodded, staring at me in a strange way when he didn't think I was looking.

Worst of all, he wasn't even trying to help, just going along with everything I said.

I guess since we were 'friends' now, he thought he could get away with letting me do all the work.

But this was a 2 partner project and I fully intended to make him do something useful.

"Earth to Noah!" He looked up from the papers on the floor, giving me that same look.

"I hope you didn't think you could just sit around and not do anything."

"No, no, not at all." I rolled my eyes.

"Then start researching or something, don't just sit there."

"Yeah, sorry."

I sighed, "It's fine."

He finally got to work, and he was actually really helpful.

We decided on a topic, split up the work, and found a couple reference pictures.

It was almost 5:30 when I realized that I needed to be home by six.

"Uh, Noah? I gotta go."

"What, why?" He grabbed my arm, not pulling, but not letting me go either.

"I need to be home by 6."

"Let me drive you then."

He let go of my arm, standing up and leading the way back outside to his car.

I rubbed the spot on my arm where he had been holding me.

It still tingled a little and felt cold without his hand there.

We climbed in his car and I gave him my address.

He was driving so carefully, the last thing I wanted right now when it was already 5:53.

"Noah, not to rush you, but can you speed up a bit?"

He didn't say anything, just began driving faster.

We finally arrived at my house, and I jumped out before the car came to a complete stop.

"Bye Noah! Thank for the ride."

"Y-yeah, uh, see you tomorrow." Hmm, wonder what's up with him?

Noah's POV

What is wrong with me?

I get a moment alone with my crush, weird to say, and what do I do? I stutter and zone out while staring at him.

He probably thinks I'm a lazy creep. I need to get my feelings under control before I lose my chance with him.

As I was about to pull out of his driveway, I saw a bright spot on my floorboard.

I looked down and saw Blake's flower crown. He must've dropped it while rushing inside.

I'll give it back to him at school tomorrow. If I go now and see his parents, I might pass out.

Since I had come to terms with my crush on Blake, I needed a little guidance.

So I called the first person I knew who could see me through this.
