*Maddie’s POV*
“I’m gonna leave you two alone.” Kelly said, before going into the living room. Mike sat on the bed, he didn’t seem angry or upset.
“We can raise the baby, as ours.”
“Mike… I can’t”
“Babe, it’ll be fine. That look on your face says, he’s angry. But I’m not angry. We knew about y’all and y’all’s life long before we married y’all. I knew all your flaws, and insecurities before I married you and it doesn’t change the way I feel about you. If you are pregnant, It may not be my kid, biologically. But, I still want to raise the baby with you.” I had tears in my eyes. He pulled me into a hug.
“I’m sorry.” I said breaking down, talking about my suicide attempt.
“It’s not your fault, Mad.” He said, stroking my hair.
Once I was calm, we went back to the living room.
*Kelly’s POV*
They came back into the living room, not saying a word. Maddie seemed Happier, well a bit more calm. I put Shannon back to bed, before we went to bed. We watched another movie before falling asleep. Maddie, of course, had trouble staying asleep due to nightmares. She tried not to wake anyone up but, occasionally when I had to take care of Shannon I would see her crying.
I stayed up the rest of the night, only getting a few hours of sleep but not minding as long as she got to sleep. They were sleeping on the air mattress, I sat on the couch, watching her sleep. Wondering what she was dreaming about. Our nightmares were becoming more rare, which was good. But sometimes, we still had nightmares, and they were either not that bad, or we felt like it was happening right then.
Griffin came and sat on the couch with me, it was around 4. Although I don’t really know why he was up this early.
“How long have you been up?” He asked, leaning on the arm of the couch.
“Since 3. Why are you up this early.”
“I noticed you weren’t in the bed, so I came in here.”
“You didn’t have to do that.” I said, putting my feet up on the couch.
“That’s an opinion, and yes I did.”
*8 weeks later*
I got up for work, which thank god. I dressed in black jeans, and one of Griffin’s T-shirts. Griffin made breakfast, then we took Isabells to school. I took Shannon up to Director Shepard before doing my usual routine. Dad knew I was coming in, but the others didn’t. I greeted all of them, before going down to see Abby. A few weeks ago we went to see if Maddie really was pregnant.
She was, she broke down a lot. Mike assured her that it would be okay.
After seeing Ducky and Abby, I went back to the bullpen. I caught up on paperwork, which was still not as much as DiNozzo. I finished within the hour, I didn’t really know what to do. Dad said I could go home but I’ve been there too long. We did our usual, when we didn’t have a case, yet also hoping we wouldn’t have a case.
“Got a body.”
