So this one gets a little sad but a kind of fluffy ending? Sorry, I haven't posted in a hot minute, school and work are taking up most of my time.

"I don't love you anymore. It's over."

He blinked, trying to make sense of the words that left her lips. Her face held so much sadness, her tone was soft. Almost sounding like regret, he wanted nothing more for her to take it back, for it to be something from his imagination. After all, he had been waiting for this to happen, for her to realize he was more of a burden than anything. He didn't deserve her, she was way too good for him. There are thousands of guys who are worth more of her time than what he gives her.

He didn't say anything when he had tried no words left his mouth. So instead he left, he turned around and ignored her calling his name. The joking tone of his brother and friends, throwing jokes about him being all alone with his girlfriend. He pushed past them, wanting to scream. When Suna had pulled on his arm he ripped it away, uttering a 'go away' not finding it in him to shout. To let everything come tumbling out, in reality he didn't know how he was going to react. All he knew was when Suna had looked at his face, he let go of him and pushed the guys onto another topic.

During the rest of the week, nobody tried to approach him. The usually calmer Miya twin was more like a bomb waiting to go off. Even though he had acted friendly when someone would occasionally talk to him, it was apparent something was bubbling just below the surface. If one unlucky person set him off, everyone would feel the blow. He had hardly calmed during practices either, sure he had something to take it out on. Most of his spikes went out of bounds, most players stayed clear of the upped hits coming their way. When he couldn't get his water bottle open, he let out a groan before throwing it against the wall. Leading Kita to suggest he take the rest of the day off until he relaxed, he grumbled out a response, snatching his things and pushing the door open with more force than necessary.

If he couldn't practice to take his frustrations out, then he'll run. Dropping his school bag at him before taking his usual running route. Pushing himself harder than usual as music pounded in his ears. He went a little off his usual path, considering he'd have to pass her house. Which of the two, regretting pushing his running too far weighed higher than accidentally running into her. He breathed heavily with his hands on his knees, as his music mixed with the pounding in his ears.

In all his attempts to avoid her, he had never considered her showing up at his house. Yet here she was standing in front of his gate a box in hand, clearly debating whether to enter or not. Standing up straighter with his hands on his hips he studied her from the beginning of the street. She hadn't noticed him yet, and his breathing not quite loud enough to be heard across the street. He squinted his eyes as he heaved, trying to slow his breathing. But seeing her only made him more frantic, an unfamiliar feeling bubbling in his gut made him sick.

His heavy breathing reduced to pants, as he walked the rest of the way to his front gate. When she had pushed his front gate open he slowed his steps, forcing himself to breathe. Why had she shown up? It's been a week, and now she chooses to talk to him? He hated how much he knew if she said the word he'd forgive her, but it would always eat away at his mind.

Her words had echoed through his mind constantly, even with his music practically at full volume trying his hardest to drown the memory. The gate creaked making his presence known as she whipped around to meet his dishevelled appearance. He pulled his headphones out of his ears, glancing at her as he walked past to unlock the door.
