I'm really happy that quite a few of you want a part two! I know this isn't a part two, heck it isn't even a full one-shot it's a drabble. So I started school a week or two ago and wanted something as a kind of vent piece but also gotta make it cute for ya'll.

Also in case, it was confusing for anyone, they didn't get back together I wanted to leave it as either it's own that could become a part two! Hope you enjoy it and I'll try and get the part two out as soon as I can!

The fabric between her fingers did little to settle her nerves, her thoughts racing as she picked at the loosening fabric on her sweater. It was her first day on a new adventure, her highschool days now a distant memory. She forced herself to breathe trying to calm her jumbling nerves. The first day of University was something she had always looked forward to, sure she loved the friends she made during highschool. Although school wasn't always good, she still wished she was back in her English class listening to her teacher drone on until the usual suspects interrupted making everyone laugh.

Now it was a new school where she knew nobody, even worse it was online. Maybe it would ease her nerves if she was confident that she'd make friends in a classroom setting. But now all she would hope was that she didn't have to turn on her camera. There was something different about a class on zoom, it felt more like everyone was looking at you since more or less everyone's looking at the screen.

She took a deep breath, it came out shaky regardless she pressed her mouse entering the virtual classroom. There was only one other person in the class, he wasn't looking up at his screen. His black messy locks took up most of her view, when he leaned back in his chair showing the rest of his body her jaw dropped. He wore a short-sleeve shirt that hugged his biceps, which were a distraction on their own. They were covered in intricate tattoos, some colourful but mostly simple line art. She gulped when she caught his brown eyes studying her features, while half of his face was still covered by his phone.

At first glance she was only able to see the piercing adorning his eyebrow, but when he pulled his phone away from his camera. It was clear he also had a nose piercing and snake bites, normally she wasn't one for piercings. But he wore enough confidence to pull anything off, the corners of his mouth quirked up into a smirk.

"Why hello, I've never seen someone so early." he raised his brows, "especially for a zoom class." he clapped pretending he was impressed, she had never wanted to turn her camera off more. He chuckled at her expression, it was deep and made her knees weak. Before she could throw out a response more people started to join the call, she muted herself hoping to blend into the background of the lecture.

Her hopes were quickly dashed when he had mentioned how they were the two in the class first, mentioning her by name. She wanted nothing more than to sink into the floor. Giving a shy wave, making the professor start asking her questions as well. Even though the handsome stranger seemed very confident talking to people, or at least with the prof, she wasn't so smooth. The heat was radiating off her face, it could probably be felt through the screen.

After her not so professional introduction and stuttering through most of her response with a red face. She was contemplating dropping this class and never showing her face again. Her computer pinged with a private message from the call, she rolled her eyes before clicking it. 'I'm sorry, I didn't think it'd go that badly.' glancing at the name she had to resist rolling her eyes again. It was none other than the stranger, now known as Matsukawa. Or even more commonly known, their TA for the year.

'It's fine, how were you supposed to know' she saw his eyes trail down his screen, he grimaced looking back up at the camera. He leaned forward and started typing again, 'maybe I can make it up to you sometime?' her heart started speeding up at his question, he was her TA so of course, he didn't mean romantically, right?

'Wouldn't that be breaking quarantine?' she bit her lip in anticipation, it was just some harmless flirting right? He looked away from his screen smiling, 'I'm smart, I wouldn't break quarantine. How about your number then we can facetime?' her eyes flitted to his screen, seeing a certain smugness overtake his features. She raised a brow, but it was obvious she wanted to just give in.

'Are you asking me on a facetime date?' she had to bite the inside of her cheek to stop herself from smiling too much. She doesn't want a repeat of before, and definitely not now. "Alright everyone, we're gonna go into breakout rooms to discuss." before she could find out his reply they had already switched to three-person rooms. Except hers only had him, he leaned forward to turn on his mic.

"Why hello, and yes I definitely am." he leaned back tilting his head and sending a playful wink. Her face became red, she put up her hands to cover her face. "Don't cover your pretty face," she spread apart her fingers to catch him fake pouting. The professor joined their group, Mattsun coughed before pulling out a pen to pretend he was writing. She moved a strand of hair behind her ear to pretend she was listening to his half-ass response to a question.

As soon as the groups were over he had privately messaged her again, 'so that date?' she subconsciously nodded, realizing he wasn't the only person in the call. It had to be breaking a thousand rules to go on a date with your TA, but it's quarantine nothing really has consequences right now. At Least that's what she used to ease her mind. Her phone pinged with a notification, which she quickly checked to find an unknown number. 'Do you want a food-related name or your name? - Mattsun' she rolled her eyes at his question. But quickly saved his contact, 'a food-related name is always interesting.'

'I knew I liked you for a reason'

'People don't just say that dummy'

'I already got a date, I can say whatever I want.' she leaned back in her chair blowing a breath to try and calm her beating heart. Her eyes trailed to his screen again, to see him grinning like an idiot. 'Stop smiling so much, it's not normal to smile that much during class.' After he glanced down, she had to hide her mouth to hide her smile. He was trying to tone down his grin, trying to look like he was the least bit interested in the lesson. 'I can't you make me smile too much ;)' she laughed loudly, widening her eyes at the sudden sound filling the mostly quiet room.

Bringing her back down to that she was in class, on the first day. One class in and she already wasn't listening. 'Facetime date after this class is done?' above his message read the time, they still had another hour before it was over. Who knew a man she had only met today, she was already starting to fall for.

'Counting down the minutes.'
