Illusions and Deceit.

Where am I?

Darkness.. Kaede woke up in a really cramped space. Her body was almost unable to move as her hands brushed against the cold metal.

She tried processing everything that was happening. For one she couldn't remember how she even got into this situation. As she panicked her hand touched something like a handle. Realizing it she quickly opened the door to see a classroom? 

 "Good Christ this situation is just getting weirder and weirder..."

She looked around to observe her surroundings. The space she came out from was apparently a locker. The classroom wasn't familiar to her and by the looks of it to say the least seemed to be abandoned with vines and barbs covering windows making it hard to see through them and with a few plants growing through the floor. Kaede tried to recall how she got into this predicament but it was all just a blur.

 "Huh?"

She then realised her attire had changed. A tiny magician hat resting on her head on an angle fixed in place with a pin. A tiny suit on her torso, the tail ending at her knees. Her socks mix matched one was a muted purple while the other was a striped pink and white. Her hair was tied to a loose low pony with a magician wand clip holding her bangs.

 She didn't recall wearing this at least from the memories she could remember.  And the thought of someone changing her clothes while she was unconscious was something she didn't want to consider.

*Bang*

*Bang*

A loud banging noise came from the locker next to hers interrupting her train of thought. She hesitated a little before approaching the locker. When she reached out for the handle a boy fell out. 

He had goggles on his head and his clothes had a steampunk vibe to them. With a striped muted, greyish-blue vest and grey undercoat for his torso and modest grey pants. His vest had a couple of pockets and so did his belt. He had fingerless gloves and wore some boots with a gear design imprinted on the side. His hair was navyish black and had grey eyes.

 "Are you ok?" She asked, reaching out her hand to him.

 The boy looked at her and a high pitched screech to what resembles a female escaped from his mouth. She recoiled a bit backing away from him.

 "Who are you?! Where are we?!" He panicked asking question after question.

 "Woah, woah there my friend.. I'm just as clueless as you here.." She tried to calm him down making sure he knows that she won't hurt him.

 "I'm Kaede Akamatsu the Ultimate Magician!" She chuckled to herself hoping to give him a feel of familiarity now that he at least knows her name.

The boy looked at her nervously before introducing himself.

 "S-Shuichi Saihara…the Ultimate Inventor.."

 "Well then, nice to meet you there Saihara!" She smiled reaching out her hand to help him up. The boy  hesitated before reluctantly taking it. "Come on!" She chirped, grabbing his hand and dragging him to the door. "W-where are we going?!" The ravenette questioned.

She just looked back at him cluelessly before answering "To investigate of course!" She grinned. "There might be an exit here since by the looks of it this place's school."

 "B-but why are you dragging ME with you?" He questioned.

 "Well, unless you prefer to get lost alone in a strange unfamiliar building…well then be my guest! " She answered.

The inventor opened his mouth to protest but alas no sound came out. "...touché."

The blonde then smiled. And the inventor defeatingly followed her out of the classroom.
