In Time

Is anybody there?

JJ pov

I've been driving for 10 minutes now, five more to go.

I try again in calling her but it goes straight to voicemail, so I call Morgan

'Hey JJ, we are you?' He ask in the other line

'Hey Morgan I'm going to Em's apartment, because she doesn't pick up her phone, do you perhaps know something of her?' I ask him trying to calm myself

'No, I didnt talk to her since yesterday and she was fine, are you on your way' he ask me

'Yeah I only have five minutes until I arrive, I'll call you when I find her' I said to him

'Sure JJ, till later' he says and hung up his phone

I know that it was not safe to drive and call at the same time but I'm very worried to be thinking of rules right now.

I arrive at her apartment, go out of my car and look up if her car is still here, I find it parked in the same spot as always, so I head up upstairs in the stairs because are faster than to have to wait to the elevator.

I arrive at her door an knock, once, twice and in the third time that there is no answer I start to look up for a spare key I know she has to have, I look at the top of the door And I find it there, I open it and leave the key in its original place.

As I enter to the apartment the first thing I notice is the darkness, so I open the courtains to let the light in.

I walk slowly to her bedroom and there she is sleeping soundly, I go to her side of the bed and shake her

"Em it's me wake up honey" I said to her trying my hardest to make her wake up

When I see that there is no response I kiss her forehead , the both of her checks and then she starts to slowly open her eyes.

"Well what a beautiful way to wake up, I open my eyes and the first thing I see is you" she says in her sleepy state

"Wait, what time is it, what are you doing here?" She says now that it cliks her

"We have a case and since Hotch couldn't get a hold of you and neither did any of us I came here to see what happened agent Prentiss" I said smiling at how cute she looked

"In my defense I didn't hear my phone ring" she says as she gets out of bed and goes to the bathdroom

"I'm gonna check your phone" I say as I walk into the living room

I try to switch on the phone but nothing happens I chuckle to myself thinking how this is not the first time that happens that.

When I see her walking in the living room she is dressed for the day

"Did you have breakfast?" She ask me

"Nope I drove straight here, Em your phone does not have any battery left that's why you didn't hear it you guffus" I said laughing

"Oh, that happens I'll take my charger out of my bag and charge it on the plane, do you think we have time to have breakfast?" She ask me

" I don't think so Em we are already late, but we can grab a coffe in the way to the office if you want" I said her at the mention of coffe her eyes lit up

"Oh, I almost forgot, my car still doesn't work so would you mind giving me a ride" she says

"Of course , now let's go we are already late" I say as I go to the door, her footsteps following me.

We get into the car and drive to the BAU, with the stop of the coffe first.

"Thanks for this quick stop" Emily says getting inside the car again

"I know that my best friend is nothing without coffee" I says as she kisses my check and I drive quickly to the BAU

Why do I feel something warm inside me after that little kiss

It was a friendly one, we had do this so many times, why is different now?

"Welcome ladies" Hotch said as we entered the round table, " Garcia go ahead" He said signalling for Garcia to start presenting the new case

"Well crime fighters we are going to Florida, four couples have been murdered, there was no adn left of the scene" she said while passing the pictures

"Wells up in 30" Hotch said as he exited the room

" Hey we could watch a movie in my phone while we fly" I said to Emily as we get in the jet

"Sure" she said smiling at me

Two hours later we land in Florida, Emily and I went to the M.O, Reid and Morgan to the first crime scene , Rossi to the second one and Hotch goes to the police station

""I looks like the unsub had stabed them, clearly the woman took the worst part of the unsub, while the man was shot once in the head" Said Emily looking at the wounds

"The wife was badly beaten and stabed while the husband dead with a shot in the head" the M.O saud

"There were sings of sexual assault?" I asked while looking at the second couple

"In the first couple there weren't but  the wife of the second couple was definitely rape" The M.O said

"Anything else we should know?" Emily ask

"Both wives had the same dinner" said the M.O

"Okay, thank you so much" I said while heading to the door

"So let's get this, the unsub kidnapped both couples,kills the husbands, and makes  dinner to the wives" Emily said trying to think of something

"You know this looks like an old case we worked on, don't you remember the guy with the petals?" I asked Em

"Oh yeah that guy" she said

Arriving at the police station hotch asked us what we discovered at the M.O, we told him and also the similarities between both cases, the new and old one

We did not find anything and since there was not a third couple yet we couldn't make the geographic profile of the unsub.

Seeing that we had nothing more to look at we went to the hotel early, I went to the reception and this time we had six rooms available.

I passed the keys to the team and everyone went to their room, as I was getting ready for bed there was a knock on my door, I got up and opened it, it was Emily with her suitcase.

"Hi, Em is not a little soon to move in" I said smiling at the woman in front of me

"Hey jayje, can I sleep here tonight, the room below mine is very noisy and I can't seem to sleep" she said with puppy eyes

"Sure, make yourself comfortable" I said opening more the door so she can get in the room

After she gets out if the bathdroom we cuddle up in bed, me holding her,while we watch the TV, why does she fit so perfectly in my arms.

When the program finish we shut the light off and sleep

"Night jayje" says Emily

"Goodnight darling, sleep well" I said kissing her in the forehead
