Saturday. Ah, the fateful day. The day Jin would meet Mira in person. Though he'd met her before, he felt like this would be the first time he would actually see her. Jin was certainly excited but he was anxious as well.
"Guys, please don't burn the house down when I'm gone. Namjoon I'm looking at you." Jin warned his band members as he shut the door.
On his way over to the cafe near the Big Hit building, he thought of all the conversations he had with Mira and smiled to himself.
"Hey, Jinnie!" He heard her sweet voice greet him with a grin on her face which woke him from his daze.
Jin's smile grew bigger as he asked "Hey, Mi! Why are you standing outside? Why aren't you waiting inside?"
"Umm...The staff said I wasn't allowed if I didn't have an access card or something." Mira replied to his question.
Right, Jin completely forgot. "Oh right! This cafe is meant for the employees and idols in Big Hit only. They won't let you in unless you have an employee card."
"Ahhhhhh...right...so you won't get bombarded by crazy fans." At this, both of them let out a laugh.
They took a seat in the back of the cafe and ordered their drinks and food. "So...y-you r-really are w-worldwide handsome huh?" Mira remarked shyly. At this, Jin smirked. "Well yeah... I don't make up meaningless nicknames...." They both let out a chuckle. "You're really pretty too." "Ahhh T-thanks," Mira said flustered at his confession, her cheeks a rosy pink now.
"Here are your drinks, sir and ma'am". The waiter put down their drinks on the table. The pair thanked the waiter and sipped on their drinks in comfortable silence which was broken by Mira.
"It must be difficult being an idol. You seem to enjoy it though, despite the pains."
"Yeah, it definitely is but...when we hear that our music has helped people all over the world, it makes the efforts all worth it," Jin responded.
"Ahh, that's so amazing. Your voice is incredible you know..so wholesome and angelic. I can see you pour your heart and soul into every song that you sing, it's beautiful....it's helped me through a lot."
"Uh...Thanks, Mi, That truly means a lot." They both smiled at each other.
"So what do you want to do in your life..like what's the career you want to pursue?" Jin asked Mira.
"What do you mean? I'm a telemarketer."
"You must have a passion. The way you talk about your job it's like you loathe it."
Mira looked at her hands after listening to his question, suddenly interested in her palm lines.
"I-I mean only if you're comfortable. I'm not forcing you." Jin assured her.
"U-uh n-no it's fine." Mira muttered, somewhat hesitant. She looked down at her palms and began to speak. "Actually I've always wanted to be an author. It's been my dream as a kid you know to influence people with my words and help them through tough times." Mira responded.
"Did you work on your dreams?" Jin questioned.
Still looking at down, Mira replied. "I did actually, I wrote a manuscript for a book and even sent it to many publishers. But none of them have accepted it. They said it's too plain, not 'sufficiently memorable'." Mira looked up finally, surprised to see that Jin was looking at her intently, hearing to her every word.
"Well if you're comfortable then maybe I could take a look at your manuscript someday?" He asked."Yeah maybe." Mira answered. Jin smiled at her warmly which made her heart skip a beat.
They talked for another hour before they decided to go back. "Thanks for agreeing to meet Jin," Mira said as she opened the door to exit the cafe.
"Ah, It's no problem. I actually loved talking to you."
"And thanks for listening to me Jinnie, about you know my passion and my dreams to be an author," Mira mumbled sheepishly. Seokjin looked at her warmth filling his heart. She was just so cute, he couldn't help but chuckle and engulf her in an embrace.
Mira's face grew hot at the sudden action and her cheeks were tomato red now. She wrapped her hands around his waist, returning the hug. She was so small compared to him, she only reached his chest. She pressed her cheeks against his chest as they stayed in position for some time, none of them wanting to break the embrace.
Finally, Mira came to her senses and broke away, her cheeks burning. She looked at Jin to see him in the same flustered state and giggled.
"Bye Jinnie!". Mira said as she waved at him.
" Bye Mi! See you soon!"
The pair went in opposite directions to reach their destinations. Both of them beaming like idiots as they recollected the events of the day on their respective ways home.
