With only less than a month left for the concert, Jin's schedule had become more packed with practices and photoshoots. Mira was busy herself. Her book had become a bestseller in just a month and she had to attend many events and fan signs. Their hectic schedules had not allowed them to meet up since the night in the bar.

Mira's heart raced and her stomach did continuous flips every time she thought of her performance with him. She was certain she liked Jin now, more than just a crush. Her face heated up at even the slightest mention of him and every time she saw him in an interview an uncontrollable smile always fought its way to her face.

She was sure that he reciprocated her feelings as well. But none of them had the time to talk about it, Mira was thankful for it though. She was afraid of getting into a relationship at such a critical time of her career as an author. She was afraid of ruining both their careers.

The ringtone coming from her phone interrupted her thoughts. She was surprised to see that it was her mother calling her. Mira and her parents did not have the best relationship. They had not supported her dream of being a writer and that was exactly what she wanted to be, an author and nothing else. That was always a cause of friction between them.

Mira reluctantly accepted the call. "Eomma?" she said, her voice having a trace of a bitter tone. "Ah Mira, honey," her mother's voice was shaky. It sounded like she had struggled to get even that much out. Mira's heart immediately softened. No matter how much they scolded her as a child, they were still her parents and she still loved them. Seeing them sad pained her heart.

"Eomma? What happened, please talk to me." She said gently, her voice now a little shaky as well. "Ah Mira honey, we just wanted to talk to you....to tell you how proud we are of you and....t-to apologise for not supporting you." Her mother said, her voice a bit more controlled now.

Mira's eyes teared up as Mrs. Han continued, "Oh honey, we read your book and it was incredible, we never knew you had such talent and we-I feel so bad now......we love you baby," Tears were rolling down Mira's cheeks now, all the bitter thoughts about her parents rolling down with the tears.

"Eomma, I love you too, and Appa...I love you both so so much and please don't feel bad...it's okay...I'm okay now" she assured her mother, her voice groggy. "Thank you so much for forgiving us baby....w-were wondering if you would want to come over for dinner tomorrow? Only if you're free that is, you've become a famous author now, I wouldn't be surprised if you were busy," both the women let out soft chuckles that lightened the heavy atmosphere.

"Of course Eomma, I'll be there," Mira smiled and replied. Her eomma and she talked for a little more time before she hung up. She felt like a weight had been lifted from her chest. This was what she needed, and she did not know it herself.

-next day-

Mira's hands were shaking as she pressed the button that created a ding dong sound. Standing at the door of her childhood house, she straightened her dress for the millionth time anxiously. The door opened to reveal her parents. Her mother, who had the same petite figure like her, and her father who had the same doe eyes and perfect teeth.

"Mira, Baby!!" Her mother exclaimed loudly as her parents engulfed her in a soul-crushing hug. "Oh! Our baby has grown to be so gorgeous," Her mother says with tears in her eyes. Her father nodded in response, his eyes welling up too. "Oh Mi, we're so proud of you and we're so sorry!" Her Appa says as they embrace her again, all of Mira's worries and anxiousness squeezed out from the hug.

"Thank you Eomma, Appa! You don't know how much this means to me!" she says, a single drop escaping from her eyes. Her parents coo at her and hug her once again. "Come on now, let's stop this k-drama and eat now, your eomma has prepared your favourite foods." Her father said after a few minutes, a huge smile on his face displaying his perfect teeth, mirroring her own.

The night was spent reminiscing sweet childhood memories and catching up on the years that they had missed together. Mira shared every detail that she had been craving to share with them for a long time.

About her first boyfriend in college, how she was fired from her first job for swearing at the customer on the phone, her crazy roommate, and best friend Min Hana. Every detail except one, except the man that had stolen her heart. Jin was something that she wanted to keep only and only to herself.
