"Okay Mi, you ready?" Jin asks the said girl with a warm smile on his face. "Ready as I'll ever be!" Mira responds. She had worked on her book for a week, perfecting every page now and was more confident in it as ever. Jin grabs her hand and she holds on to it tightly as they make their way into the building of one of the best publishing companies in Seoul.
Mira had never submitted her manuscript to Ilbo Groups before because she was never confident enough with her work. Now though, she couldn't have been more sure of her book and hardly felt any anxiety walking into the entry of the building. Although, partly the reason why she was so calm was probably the person beside her, holding on to her hand tightly.
After she had submitted her manuscript and walked out of the building, she saw Seokjin smiling at her. She felt a sense of security and comfort whenever she was around him which was only elevated when he said, "Mi, whatever happens, I want you to know that I'm so proud of you. Your manuscript was great and the publishers would be dumbasses to not share it with the world." Mira's heart jolted and she looked up at him, happier now than ever that Soar Publishers had rejected her and Hana had taken a change of route all those weeks ago. She hugged him tightly and never wanted to let go. She reluctantly did though, when Seokjin asked if she wanted ice cream. "Oh hells yeah, I want ice cream!" He giggled at her enthusiasm.
The pair walked to a park after buying their sweet delicacies. Jin was a fast eater and had finished off his chocolate ice cream when Mira was only halfway through. Mira noticed him eyeing her ice cream. "Uh No Jin, no way, I'm not giving you my ice cream!" She pointedly told him. Jin just wiggled his eyebrows and started reaching for her cone. Mira took a huge bite and ran, with him chasing her. She kept pausing in between to take big bites and stick her tongue out to him. She tried not to get distracted by the gorgeous idol chasing her with his famous windshield wiper laugh that was now so endearing to her. He wasn't quite able to catch up to her mainly because he kept laughing hard and had to pause to take a breath.
When Seokjin finally did catch up to her, her cone was almost over, only the last part of the biscuit was left. However, it was not the ice cream that he had his eyes on anymore. He wanted to feel her against him, hold her in his arms, tuck the stubborn piece of hair behind her ears. With that as his focus now, he managed to grab her by the waist from behind and turn her so that she was facing him, the cone that was still in her hand, forgotten now.
He looked into her eyes as if forming an imaginary electric circuit between their eyes and bodies. He tucked the stubborn piece of hair behind her ears, sparks radiating from his touch. He licked his lips, which made her lose control of all her senses, and bent down to bite the biscuit in her hands. He stared at her until he swallowed the cone and whispered in her ears, "Next time, you should listen to me Mimi.", sending chills down her spine. With that, he gave her a smirk and turned around to go back to his dorms leaving her flustered and her cheeks a deep color of red, her mouth hanging open, like a yawning sloth.
