Mira stood in front of the large mirror in her house as she looked at her reflection, a sophisticated woman who had on a gorgeous peach dress, her hair gracefully curled and clipped. The person in the mirror seems to have her life all known and perfected. But she didn't. Under the fake smiles and the confident demeanor of an author, was a miserable person. Saying that she missed Jin was an understatement. It felt like the sunshine and warmth from her life had been sucked out and all that remained was the cold and loneliness of the dark.

She missed his laugh, his smile, his teasing, his flustered state whenever he touched her. She missed the sparks of electricity that he made her feel. She missed the feel of him against her. Leaving Jin in the backstage room in a devastated manner on the night of the concert, hurt every living cell in her body. But she knew she had to do it.

Since the day of the concert, she no longer felt happiness from anything. Everything felt superficial. All she wanted was for him to hold her in his arms, to kiss his plump lips. She wasn't even excited when came the news that her book had been in the top 10 for 2 months now and she was nominated for the best upcoming writer award in the Daesan Literary Award, the most prestigious award in South Korea.

"Come on Mira, we need to go," Hana said looking at her with sad eyes, knowing exactly what she was thinking. As she was whisked away to the venue, she felt anxious. Not because of being nominated but because she knew BTS was invited. She didn't know if they came though.

Stepping out of the car, she put on the best plastic smile on her face that she had mastered now, the lights flashing almost blinding her. She talked to famous and honorable authors as she took the seat that was reserved for her. When she was finally left alone, she let her cheerful smile fall, going back to how she was actually feeling as the lights slowly dimmed and the hosts started the show.

The night was full of performances and awards presented to old recognizable faces and new talented faces. The nerves of being nominated finally got to her when it was time for the award for the best upcoming author. The nominees were called out and she heard hollers and screams when her book was announced, which made her a little more confident about her book, Almond Eyes.

"And this award goes to..." silence, as there was a wait for the name. "Han Mira!" Mira was shocked, unable to move until someone ushered her to go on the stage. Smiling, she made her way to the presenters, and politely accepted the award. "Uh.." she said into the mic when she was asked to say something to the audience, her eyes looking for someone they had been craving to see for a long time now, unable to find him.

"It is hard to put this feeling into words. It is a huge honor for me to receive this award and I am shocked beyond words. Although many people helped me through my journey as a writer, there's one person because of which this book could truly come to life, and to him, I am eternally grateful." She pauses, scanning the audience for said person, her heart sinking when she realized her search was in vain.

"He is the one who supported me through every step of the way and helped me pursue my dreams. It is because of him, I stand here tonight. The man who taught me that before I learn to love or let someone love me, I need to love myself." She finishes. Her voice shaky and her eyes tearing up. She blinked back her tears and raised the award before going back to her seat, soaking in the thunderous applause.

After the show was wrapped up, Mira had been invited to an all- celebrity party. She was about to go back home, after being congratulated numerous times by many people at the party, except by the one she truly wanted to applaud her, when she felt a hand on her wrist.

Her heartbeat quickened and the butterflies in her stomach danced around when she heard his voice. She could recognize his voice in her sleep, the way it was soft like silk, and the way it made angels sing when he sang.

"J-Jinnie?" she said as she turned around to look at the body connected to the hand, a fat bead of tear rolling down her eyes. Oh, how she missed him, all she wanted to do was hug him, be comforted by him, but she maintained her composure as she managed to stutter out in a voice lower than a whisper, "Y-you came!"

"Of course I did, Mimi," he said, in a tone so low she wouldn't have been able to hear if she wasn't so close. "Mimi, I just want to talk to you, please," he said, almost begging. It pained her like a million stabs when she saw the tear that escaped his eyes, even more so because she knew she was the cause of it.

"Ms. Han!" She heard the distant voice of her driver call out to her. Mira raised her hand to wipe the tear on his cheek with her thumb as she spoke, "Not now Jinnie, I promise we'll talk tomorrow, at the Big Hit Cafe at 11. Okay?" she said and he nodded as she reluctantly turned away from him and made her way towards the car that would take her away from her home.
