Mira was growing anxious now. It had been a week since she had submitted her manuscript and there was not even a trace of contact from Ilbo groups.
Mira's nervous pacing, around their small shared apartment had taken a toll on Hana who had to prepare for an important case. So she had sent her to buy some groceries. On her way back home from the store, Mira had purposely taken the route that passed the Big Hit cafe. For some reason, the quaint little cafe had always given her a feeling of peace and serenity and always made her smile.
She looked through the window of the cafe, a smile on her face when she was surprised to see a figure inside with his head down. Her smile vanished when she realised that the figure was none other than Kim Seok Jin. She went inside, the staff recognising her and letting her in. She walked towards his corner and took a seat on the couch next to him. Jin was unaware of his sudden companion and only noticed her when she called his name. "Jinnie?" she said gently. When he looked at her, the tears came rolling down in big fat droplets.
The sight broke her heart. Jin was usually the one supporting her when she felt down. He always displayed to her one of his beautiful smiles or his laughter that made her forget all her problems and insecurities. He was like a security blanket, protecting her from all the troubles in life. She wanted to do for him what he did for her. She wanted to do everything in her power to make him feel better and help him feel like him again.
"Jinnie, look at me," she said in a gentle voice. He ignored her words and just shook his head, continuing to trace the lines on his palm as fat tears rolled down his cheeks. Mira, determined to help him raised his head by holding his chin in her hands. She looked him in the eyes which compelled him to do the same and said in a more firm tone this time, "Jinnie tell me what happened." Jin felt exposed as if she was looking into his soul, but not in a bad way. He felt safe around her and for some reason, he knew she'd understand. Though he was slightly hesitant, he told her what he was feeling. "I-I...uh" He sighs then continues. "It's about the concert. No, not the concert actually, it's about everything. I'm never able to keep up with the choreography and I feel like I'm letting the group down. I-I feel like I don't have any major role in the band and I'm only there as just the good-looking guy you know? M-maybe it won't affect anyone if I just....if I just left." He looks at her, eyes filled with tears. Mira was on the verge of letting her own tears fall down as well, but she held it in, for him.
"Oh Jinnie," she sighs and places her hand on his cheek, the same one that she had kissed just a few weeks ago, moving closer towards him. Jin leans into her hand on his face as if seeking the comfort he knew he would find there. "Jinnie, don't you ever dare think like that! You don't know how many people you have helped with your soulful and genuine voice. How many people you have inspired by pouring your heart and soul into everything that you do. And I can prove it because I'm only one of those million other people. Jin you've helped me a lot, you've inspired me to continue writing before we even met and you don't know how grateful I am to you for that. ARMY respects and appreciates you so much. They love you so so much. Do you really want to devastate them by thinking like this or leaving?"
She looks him deeper into the eyes, trying to assure him that whatever she was saying was true. And it was absolutely true, every single word was genuine and honest. "And Jinnie, If you ever do feel like this again, please talk to the other members. They'll make you realise just how important you are to the group and to the world. You guys are a family now, would you really want to break it apart?" She finishes. He looks at her with understanding eyes.
To hear her say that he had helped her and so many other people, had lifted a burden from his chest that he did not know was there. Helping others and inspiring them through their music was what BTS was all about. His tears had stopped now and he felt motivated to work for his fans, for her. He was thankful to her for helping him realise how stupid he was being. "Thank you so much Mimi," he said as he buried his face in her neck, taking in the sweet smell of her butterscotch perfume.
She felt tingles spreading from the place where his skin met hers, but she chose to ignore it. This was definitely not the time to be thinking like this. "It's okay Jinnie, everyone feels this way at some point or the other," she assured him, rubbing his broad back in a comforting manner. They stayed in the position for a few minutes before Mira's phone went off with a ping. It was probably Hana, asking her why she was taking so much time, so she decided to take no notice of it. "You should check that," Jin said, still hugging Mira. "H-huh?" she stuttered not paying attention to what he was saying and instead focusing on the warmth of his breath against her skin, ironically sending chills down her spine. "I'm saying you should check that," he says again, not a hint of the tears on his face that were there half an hour ago. Mira checked her phone and wasn't shocked to see a message from Ilbo Groups. This message would be a deciding factor for her, if she was good enough to be an author or not. Her hands shaking, she hesitantly opens the mail.
Dear Miss Han,
We have read your manuscript thoroughly........

A/N: I'm not trying to insult Jin here or anything. I'm just trying to show how much he is appreciated and loved by armies all around the world. Please don't take this in the wrong way. Love ya!
