-Kevin John's POV-
Nakauwi na ako ng bahay pero may dalang trabaho galing kay Sir Science. Sumabay sa akin si Jemelly dahil may paguusapan nga daw kami. Di ko alam tungkol saan pero, importante daw ito.

"Mel.. stop bugging me for Pete's sake! I'm doing something. "

"But John.."

"Fine. I'm almost done checking these papers."

Mga ilang minuto lang, natapos na ako. Eh paano ba naman. Inutusan kasi ako ni Sir Science etong mga quiz papers nya. May meeting daw kasi silang mga Teachers. Hay nako. Kaninang-kanina pa ako kinukulit ni Mel/Jemelly tungkol kay Vienne. Ewan ko ba dun.

"John!"

"What is it?"

"Do you like Janaley?"

Natahimik ako. Actually, hindi ko alam. Di ko alam. I don't know if this is Love. But if it is, I must stop this. At once. For the sake of my Brother.

(Flashback: 6 years ago- the day of the incident)

Nasusunog yung bahay. Apoy, at usok ang nakikita, naamoy ko. Tumatakbo kaming dalawa sa loob para iligtas ang mga natutulog na magulang namin.

"Mama! Papa! Nasusunog po yung bahay!" Sigaw ni Charlie. May nahuhulog na kahoy na nasusunog sa aming dalawa. Tinulak ko sya para di sya matamaan.

Accidentally nabitawan ko yung kamay ni Vienne. At nahulog siya sa maduming sahig na dati ay grey na carpet.

"Tuloooon- *cough* *cough*" Vienne.

"Stiiick! *cough* *cough*" Ako.

Nawalan na ng malay si Vienne.

"Tulungan nyo kami! Please! Tuloong!"

"John! Charlie!" Sabi ni Joe. Tumakbo palapit sa amin. Kinarga nya si Vienne sa braso niya at sumunod nalang ako. Pero di na kaya ng katawan ko, lumagapak na ako sa sahig na may halong abo at apoy. At nawalan ng malay.

-Hospital-

Minulat ko ang aking mga mata at nakita ko yung puting ceiling.

"Mom. Dad. Joe." Mahinang sabi ko. Natutulog si Dad at si Joe sa maliit na sofa sa dulo ng kwarto.

Ah. Si Joe. Kevin Joe. Kakambal ko sya, identical twins kami. Mas-matanda ako ng ilang segundo sa kanya. Kilala nya si Charlie. Pero di kilala ni Vienne si Joe. May gusto siya kay Vienne. Mayroon siyang Cancer of the blood or usually called 'Leukemia'. Never nagpakilala sa Joe dahil nahihiya sya at ayaw niya na dadating ang araw na iiyak si Vienne sa puntod niya at masasaktan siya. Close na close kaming dalawa.

"Anak! Anak, okay ka lang ba? Kamusta na ba ang pakiramdam mo?" Sabi ni Mom sa akin. Halatang walang tulog si Mom dahil kita sa kanyang mukha. Yung eyebags nya, kitang-kita.

"Mom. I'm fine."

"My dear son, We'll be going to America."

"Mom.. why?"

"Your brother's condition has worsen. He needs to be cured. His Leukemia has reached Stage 3. And because of the fire incident, he had a major burn at his thigh. You know what he needs, right?"

"Mom.. what happened to Vienn--"

"Don't even say her name, Kevin John. They were the reason why your Brother has a major burn at his left thigh. I told them that you had Amnesia. So that they would stay away." Galit na sabi ni Mom.

"Mom, the fire incident was an accident! They didn't even expect this! Nor planned it!"

"Wether you like it or not, young Boy, we're flying to America. TONIGHT AND THAT'S FINAL."

Lumabas ng kwarto si Mom. Natulala nalang ako. Dahil nakita ko yung naka-bandage na paa ng natutulog na kapatid ko. I have no choice, but to follow. For my Mother. And for my Sick Brother.

-Airport-

Tahimik lang akong nakaupo sa tabi ng Dad ko.

"Dad.. Bakit po ba ito nangyayari?"

"Anak, It is for your brother. Your brother has you know that I hate talking about. He will have a blood transfusion, and chemotherapy as soon as we arrive." Sabi ni Dad sa akin habang hinug nya ako.

"Dad. What will Vienne feel when she will receive the fake news about me?"

"She will feel sad. But I'm sure that she doesn't want to see you in such a terrible condition."

"Dad. Can I come back to Philippines when I turned High school?"

"Yes. You may."

I'll miss Vienne. So much.

(Flashback: The day before John returns to the Philippines)

"Son. Remember 6 years back then?"

"Of course, Dad."

"Promise me and your Mom. Just one thing."

"What is that, Dad?"

"Act. Act like you don't know anything, at all. Understoood?"

"Yes. Dad."

"And. Watch your brother. Call us if he's in danger. "

"I promise."

Bago ako pumasok sa loob ng eroplano, Tinignan ko yung kapatid ko.

"Joe. Let's go?"

"Let's go, Kuya."

(End of flashback)

"Hey! Hey! John!"

"Sorry.. I just.. remembered something. "

"I'll revise the question. What do you feel for Janaley Vienne Reyes? "

Hallo~ Next chapter is continuation ng flashback. And, sad to say, short story lang po ito. And, patapos na po sya. Malapit na po ang end ng short story. :')
