Louis POV

The day leading up to our evening at Niall's was damn near perfect; Harry was perfect.

Things were always good after one of his sessions and I had his therapist to thank for that. If I had ever found the woman, I would have kissed her right on the lips and vomited later.

All of the anger, the rigid cold in Harry's green eyes was nowhere to be found. He was kind, easy-going, and he was almost back to the same man I had fallen in love with months ago. We laughed and spent that evening tangled up with each other at my parents house. Harry's joyous cackle echoed through the halls as he chased my little sisters around. They squealed with delight when he plucked them from the floor and threw them both across his shoulders.

A watched from the kitchen, my heart so swollen with affection I felt like it was going to burst. Harry's going to make a great father one day.

Lottie found none of this amusing. She eyed my boyfriend, her gaze disapproving.

I had done my best to reassure her that nothing was wrong, though I had also told Harry to just steer clear of her. She wasn't like me; she would speak her mind and call it as she saw it. I couldn't guarantee his safety if she were to find out what had happened. Lottie was a bitch, to put it as simple as I could. She was headstrong, confident, and too stubborn for her own good but that was her. My sister was my protector.

Harry had been all over me before he had gone back to his place. I love you so much he repeated over and over, kissing my cheeks, my forehead, my lips; everywhere. I love you, I love you, I love you. It didn't matter to him that my parents were right there watching.

I couldn't get enough of it, but eventually he had gone, leaving me watching him from behind the curtain until I couldn't see his car anymore. When I turned, the smile slipped from my face because my sister was behind her, arms crossed over her chest.

"Tell me what happened."

"Nothing happened.

"Bullshit. What happened."

"What are you on about, Lottie? Why don't you keep your fucking nose out of my relationship."

Usually I wasn't so snippy with her but the more she asked, the closer I came to spilling the beans. I couldn't let that happen to Harry. None of them would forgive him.

"Because I know he did something to you. I know what fucking concealer looks like on someone's face and you wore it for over a week!"

"Fuck off, Lottie." I pushed passed her and made a beeline for my room. There, I packed my usual bag of clothes and toiletries and headed downstairs. "Mom," I said when I found her cuddled on the couch with my dad. "I'm going to Harry's. The guys are coming over."

"Didn't he just leave? Why didn't you go with him?"

Lies still came easily to me and I smiled. "They're bringing pizza and some new movie. Niall didn't call until he was gone."

"Okay, well, you want a ride?"

"No, it's cool out. I'll walk."

"Call when you get there."

I kissed my mother's cheek and headed out. Before I closed the door, I got the uncomfortable feeling someone was watching me and I knew Lottie was at the top of the stairs.

The walk to Harry's wasn't short but he was delighted when he found me on his doorstep, my bag clutched to my chest. "Louis!," he exclaimed and yanked me inside. "You should have called! I would have come back and gotten you!"
