"Hey, Apple." He smiled.

I walked calmly over to the sliding glass door as though my cover hadn't almost fallen apart at my fingertips.

I opened the door.

"Hey, Xav." I smiled.

He pulled his hands out of his pockets, and pulled me close, placing a kiss on the top of my head. I closed my eyes and smiled, but our bodies froze when we heard the forgotten person clear his throat.

"Oh, um... dad. This is Xavier, my... my..."

"Her boyfriend."

"Well, that was fast. Wasn't it, M?" He smiled, crossing his arms.

"You know what they say, true love happens fast." Xavier smiled, his arms draped across my waist.

"I don't think anybody says that." I spoke.

"Shhh." Xavier put his finger over my lips, smirking.

"I get it, her mom and I were like that." He smiled, zoning out for a quick moment.

"Hey, no funny business tonight. Alright?"

"Dad!!" I shouted as he left the room.

"He seems cool." Xavier spun me around, chest to chest.

"Yeah." I smiled.

"Whose M?" He asked, confusion on his face.

My face dropped suddenly.

"What?"

"Your dad. He called you M."

"Oh, it's just a short nickname for me."

"Why?"

"Well, aren't you just full of questions."

"Just trying to get to know my girl." He smiled.

"Well, your girl has to get ready for company." I pulled away, walking over to my closet.

"And don't think we won't be having a conversation about you telling my dad that you're my boyfriend."

I pulled out a small blue and white dress, and closed my closet door.

"Why do you have to change? You already look perfect." He shouted through the door as he flopped down on my mattress.

"You have to say that."

"Why?"

"Well, according to you, I'm your girlfriend, so you have to say I look good. I just don't wanna wear my school clothes." I responded, sliding open the door. Xavier propped himself up on his elbows.

"You look hot." He looked my body up and down appreciatively.

"Thanks." I smiled.

"What about according to you?" He asked, following me like a lost puppy as I walked into my bathroom.

"According to me, you may have staked your claim, but it's been going fast and I barely know you."

"What do you want to know?" Xavier placed his hands around my waist as I was wiping off my makeup with a towelette.

"Things I can only learn over time." I tossed the used makeup wipe into the trash, and pulled out a golden hairclip.

"People start dating quickly all the time. We can learn about each other as we're together." He kissed my neck.

"X, I just want to wait. This is going too fast for my liking. And when it does happen, I want it to be special." I pulled away, sitting down at my vanity, and started with my new makeup to match my outfit.
