Author's note: Hey, so some dialogue and some other parts have changed, so enjoy my few bits of editing, I'm working on a long chapter right now, I hope to have it out by Saturday morning, but only time can tell. No POV

Today is your 18th birthday. You told yourself you'd leave today, to find a new life outside the chaos of Meteor City. If Chrollo hadn't left 2 years earlier, you'd be leaving with him, you always talked about moving to a small island and living together, a peaceful existence for a few decades. But now, as you pack up your few belongings, you feel slightly worried. A small bit of guilt leaves your hands as you slip your arm through the straps of your bag and leave your now empty home. As you walk down the main road, your eyes scan everything you see, memories flooding your mind. You step outside the city borders, your legs shaking. You decide to walk to Yorknew City, hoping to find something or someone you know. Even Chrollo, you'd take any familiarity right now, but as your tired legs finish the long journey, you start to regret that thought.

Why do I have to be so dependent on him?

You find a cheap hotel, only 500 Jenny per night. You hand over the 1500 Jenny to the receptionist, she hands you your room key and you set your bag down on the bed. You notice your window is open.. A bit of dread fills your tired mind. You close the window and draw the curtains, then drag your tired body to the bathroom to take a bath. As you sit in the warm water, your body feeling the long-awaited relaxation, you hear your hotel door open and close. you pull your legs up to your chest, not wishing for anyone to see you now.

?: "Y/N when you are done, you need to come with me."

The figure is standing in front of the door, never moving. You drain the water from the tub and dry yourself off, putting a fresh set of clothes. You step out of the bathroom to see Machi standing  by the door, looking at the ceiling.

"Hey Machi..Where are we going?" You fiddle with your sleeves nervously. 

M:"to meet someone, now let's go. I hate waiting" 

Machi walks out of the hotel room and towards the exit. You follow her closely, locking your room as you exit. You and Machi walk silently down the hall and out into the dark, cold air of Yorknew City. Machi leads you to a broken down building outside of the city, as you walk, you notice wanted posters for Chrollo, Machi, Feitan, and Nobunaga on the sides of buildings. You start to worry about them, you didn't know them much, but your concern for them is still there. Machi leaves you at the building and continues walking, telling you that someone is in there for you. Hesitantly, you walk inside. It's completely cleared out, except for a large, mostly unbroken stained-glass window. you notice someone looking at it and assume that's who you're meeting. As you get closer, you stop, your nails digging slightly into your palms. 

C: "Oh, Y/N, I didn't expect you for another hour yet.." 

"Hi Chrollo." You say sternly, trying to not clench your teeth too hard. A few meters in front of you is a man who not only left you without so much as a goodbye, but has managed to get himself a wanted poster for 2.6 billion Jenny. You can feel hot tears running down your face, slowly, burning your already red cheeks.
