(Hiya, It's me, so I have some bad news... We're getting to the end of the story. *pause for all the "nooooo"* And I know, it's sad, and I really like writing this, so I'll try to make it a tad longer just to keep hope alive. And let me say this as well, It'll take me a while to update these last few parts because I want to make them really good and I know I can if I spend more time fleshing them out and writing down ideas. There's also a possibility I'm going to re-vamp parts of the story into new stories, (Like in chapter 10 or 11 when Y/N says someone is with Hisoka, that's a possible story I could write) but we'll see, cause I have a lot going on right now, and as much as I like writing, school, baton practice and band are a bit more important. But we'll see my babies. >Carson)

No POV
Chrollo kept knocking on the door that morning, Y/N still hadn't come out of her room, in fact, she hadn't eaten dinner last night. Chrollo had tried to get her to come out and eat, but she just ignored him. Chrollo had slipped letters under the door for her to read, as if her stubbornness would be cured by them. Finally, she spoke, just for a moment, but it felt like an hour to him.
Y/N: "Do you love me?"
C: "Of course I do, how could I not?"
Y/N: "That doesn't answer my question."
C: "It doesn't?"
Y/N: "There's a difference between saying 'I Love You' and meaning it."
C: "I guess there is."
Y/N: "Hesitation...If you loved me as much as you say you do, you would hesitate before answering."
C: "Guess I don't-"
Y/N: "Stupid men, you're no better than the people I met before you, there's no difference between you and Hisoka, or my father, or the librarian, or the barista, or anyone! You're all the same, you just want someone to look after you and do everything for you!"
C: "I-"
Chrollo stopped there, not wishing to anger her anymore. He simply got up, and walked out of the house, closing the door behind him, and locking it. He ran to the library, wanting to bury himself in reading, like he always does. But he couldn't bring himself to, he ran to the trail he'd chased Y/N down the night he'd left, and sat on the bridge, listening to the deer scarers' repeated tapping. He tore off the cloth on his head and laid his head in his hands, silently crying to himself while humming the only song from his childhood he knew
🎵🎵
"In every heart there is a room"
"A sanctuary safe and strong to heal the wounds from lovers past until a new one comes along"
"I spoke to you in cautious tones you answered me with no pretense and still I feel I said too much my silence is my self defense"
Chrollo kept singing until his body took over, forcing him to lay down and soon fall asleep from his exhaustion. Time passed slowly, minutes felt like hours, seconds like minutes and hours like days.
Around this time, Y/N got a bit worried like she normally does when she's separated from Chrollo for too long. So she gets herself dressed and goes to look for him.
