Jia pov
Another morning at the cantine. Another morning filled with disturbing stares coming my way.
I kinda don't blame them though, because in the past days I have been around different boys every time I was seen by someone. That day I entered the cantine with Hyunjin, who's been training with me for nights and I apparently became stronger and stronger. I mastered the art of the swordfight and grew closer to him as well, we became best friends. While Jeongin distanced himself from us for some reason, which I do not appreciate at all.
As Hyunjin and I sat down while eating breakfast I felt another even more disturbing stare coming at me but I have chosen to ignore it.
Afterward, we decided to go for a jog in the nearby controlled woods in which we were allowed to train. We sat down and started to stretch our muscles after an hour of running nonstop and training for 3 hours.
''Hyunjin-ah, what's up with everyone?''
''What do you mean?''
''Well, I have been feeling uneasy these days like I have the feeling that someone is stalking me or something.''
''Have you gone crazy now? Anyhow if anything happens you know that oppa is here right?'' he ruffled my hair and I cringed at the word 'Oppa'.
Lately, Hyunjin really felt like an older brother to me, protecting me and all that. So I think I can really trust him.
''Oh yea, I forgot to tell you. Before the actual game of sorrow, there are several exams where you fight one on one against someone for the trainer to see the progress you made with your training. If you fail 50% of all the tests you lose the chance to actually win the game.''
''What?? Now you're telling me that? And when is that exam?''
''Uhm, in two weeks I think..''
''What?! Hyunjin I swear to god I'm gonna kill you how the fuck can forget such a thing?''
''I dunno okay? My mind is preoccupied with Rose..''
Rose is btw the girl Hyunjin had a crush on, no big deal.
I stood up and decided to go back to the building because it was already time for lunch break. Hyunjin walked behind me yelling my name, cause he sensed that I was clearly mad at him for not telling me about the exam thing. He apologized about 15 times but eventually gave up because he knew that I'm gonna come back to him sooner or later.
Going down the corridors, I decided to take a stroll near the sport swimming pool, when I heard a voice I was easily irritated by and hated the most.
''WANG JIA...''
''Ugh, what do you want Yeji?'' Is simply continued walking not caring about her presence behind me.
''You know that the monthly exams are coming up right? I figured that the trainer wanted us two to fight against each other. Soo...I thought..how about..eliminating you...BEFOREHAND.''
