"What a sight for sore eyes,
Brighter than a blue sky.
You gave her your sweater,
It's just polyester.
But you like her better.
Wish I were Heather..."
You and...
Night falls on the same day. You and Zak haven't talked yet, ever since Heather cane over to your house. Zak knocks on your door every 10 minutes, hoping that you would come out. He couldn't understand why you locked yourself in. There was a key to your door, but you kept it, just in case for things like this. You didn't hurt yourself, as you promised to Zak. Messages kept coming in from Zak, telling you to come out and talk to him. Another message just came in.

You tear up, thinking about how worried Zak must have been. You know, how much he loves you and cares about you. He was always by your side no matter what, and you supported him throughout his life. A tear rolls down your cheek and drops on your phone screen. Suddenly, a knock on the door could be heard once again, and you exactly knew that it was Zak.
"Hey...Moonie...I made dinner. If you are hungry, you can just go down. I will be in my room. And my door is always opened. Good night."
He walks away, feeling hopeless to his room. You don't hear his door closing, just like what he said, 'My door is always opened.' You finally stood up after hours of crawling up at the corner of your bed crying, and walked towards your door. You touch the door knob, and took in a deep breath. You slowly turn it, and the door opens. The hallway outside looks very dim without you and Zak being happy. You took your first step out from your dark room and walk slowly towards the stairs.
You constantly turn behind you to see if Zak was following you, but he wasn't there. And soon enough, you arrived downstairs. The kitchen lights were bright as it was the only room that had its lights lit up. You walk slowly to the kitchen to smell something delicious. As you poke your head inside the kitchen, you see a plate on the table alongside a piece of paper next to it. You sat down and picked up the paper to see a handwritten note:
Hey Moonie!
I see you've finally came out from your locked, dark room. Yay! Don't worry I'm not spying on you, lmao. Anyways, enjoy this spaghetti I made for you. I made this myself with a little help from Google :3 I hope after you eating, you will feel much better. Like what everyone says, food will always make the heart feel full!
Geppy <3
You laugh at Zak's letter. He was always so sweet. He would always do this everytime you had a breakdown. You were so glad you had someone this kind to treat you like this. You picked up the fork and took one bite of the spaghetti. And surprisingly, it tasted delicious! Knowing that he made this based off of Google, it was not bad for a beginner. You smile, thinking about the endless amount of hussle Zak had to go through to make this specially for you. And there you sat — alone — eating a meal made by your favourite person in the world.

It was now about 9:30 p.m, and you were just on your way back up to your room. You slowly walk up the stairs, feeling full and finally you could calm down and have a good nights rest. You reached the peak of the staircases and see Zak's door semi-opened. You slowly tip-toed to his room and you see him sleeping on his bed. He was hugging his pillow, like always and didn't wear his blanket, although the weather was fucking cold. The computer was still turned on and he opened Sony Vegas Pro 17. He was most probably editing a new video for his channel. He would usually stay up until 2 a.m, or not sleep at all but he slept really early tonight, which was really weird for someone like him.
You slowly sat down near his feet and sigh looking at his face. He looked gorgeous in your eyes, and you wouldn't change him for anyone else. Tear started forming in your eyes again, but you held them in, just for this time. You slowly crawl up to his side, and you slowly lay yourself down. You fit just right in between him and the wall. Your arm immediately was now on his waist. You were basically hugging him. You burried your head in his chest and sighed.
"Moonie...?"
You lifted up your head to see Zak half awake. He pulled you towards him and you hugged him even tighter. You started crying. "I'm sorry, Zak..." He caresses your head gently and smiled. "No, it's not your fault." You soaked his hoodie with your tears but he didn't care. And slowly, both of you fell asleep, each with each other's embrace.

Birds started chirping outside the window, and the bright sun rays shone into Zak's room, where you and him were still sleeping, together in each other's embrace. You start to wake up and you couldn't move. Zak was holding you so tightly that you maybe could have bruises on your back. You slowly open your eyes to see Zak still sleeping soundly. He looked so peaceful, that you almost wanted to fall back asleep. You stared deeply into his face, and you instantly thought about yesterday's incident. You do not dare to hurt his heart and stop him from liking Heather, but you felt, heartbroken.
Yes, you have been supporting him throughout his dating life, and you constantly would give advice to him about girls. When Zak broke up with his first girlfriend, he got dumped. He ran to you and cried on your shoulder. You still remembered that day clearly. No matter what, you still love him, and would continue being by his side no matter what.
Suddenly, Zak slowly opens his eyes and sees you staring at him. He smiles and grabs your hand, which was on his neck.
"Good morning, (Y/n)."
You grin.
"Good morning, Zak."
He held your hand softly, making his grasp warm.

You sat down on the kitchen island, as you watch Zak make breakfast for you two. He was cooking bacon, sunny side eggs, beans and toast. It smelt delicious, making you even more hungry. 'you broke me first' by Tate McRae was playing on the bluetooth speaker connected to Zak's phone. You were surprised that a song like this was playing on his playlist. You look at his phone.
"Who the hell made you so heartbroken, to the point that you listen to these types of songs?" You say.
Zak laughs while still frying the bacons. "Nah, no one did. The song just suddenly popped into my YouTube recommendations. The song is great, anyways."
You nod, satisfied with his answer. And suddenly, there were lyrics that you could relate to so much.
"I know you, you're like this When shit don't go your way you needed me to fix it And like me, I did But I ran out of every reason."
You stayed silent after listening to those lyrics, and just smiled throughout the pain.
