Night falls even deeper at Florida. It was about 8 p.m. now. You and your best friend, Jennifer are still chilling out in your room, mostly talking about your school life a few years ago. All the food on the floor was still a lot and both of you just kept eating and laughing at past stories from your childhood.
"(Y/n), do you remember when Mr. Smith accidentally went inside our class during Mathematics?" She laughs hysterically with you.
"Yes, oh my god. He looked at the wrong class' timetable! He came in so confidently that even Ms. Pensy couldn't hold in her laughter!"
Tears were almost coming out from your eyes as you laughed so loudly. Jennifer calmed both of you down and she popped a gummy bear in her mouth. "Okay, remember when Tim asked you out during 7th grade? Oh my goodness, that was so brave of him." You laugh. "Yeah, I feel kinda bad for rejecting him. But I had feelings for, you know who..." You couldn't really say his name.
Jennifer looks at you and your expression changes. "Hey, you alright?" You look at her and you smiled. "Mhm. I just wondered, where has he been? It's 8 o'clock now... He shouldn't be out this late..." She understands you. You were too worried where would he go this late. A million things were in your head. And now, you started overthinking.
"W-What if his car broke down? O-Or he went to go stay at Heather's place? What if he went somewhere further?" You start biting your nails and Jennifer starts getting worried. She holds your hands and holds them tightly. "(Y/n), don't worry too much about him. He's a man, he can do anything." "I'm just worried, Jenn. We don't know what might happen to him." Your voice starts to break.
"Look, if he doesn't come back home tonight, I will stay here, alright?" You look at her. "For how long?" "As much as you want." You smile and hug her. She sighs and pats your back. When Zak wasn't there for you, Jennifer was always there for you. She was the only place you could talk your feelings to about Zak.
Jennifer lets go of you and she stands up. "Well, if you want me to sleep here, we better clean this place up!" She starts picking up the trash on the floor and you stood up as well to help her. And in no time, the place was clean. Your bed was sort of huge so the both of you slept together on your comfy bed.

In a small cute café next to a calm street, Zak and Heather are chilling inside with a cup of coffee on the table. "This place is cute, don't you think?" Heather speaks up, realizing the awkwardness between her and Zak. He just smiles and nods. "Yeah, it is..." He keeps turning on his phone to check on the time.
'8:47. Dammit...'
"Zak?" Heather notices him checking his phone every 5 minutes, and she gets slightly annoyed. Zak looks at her and his eyes opened. "Yes?" "Will you please put down your fucking phone? You have been checking on that every 5 minutes." She rolls her eyes and crosses her arms. "Um, I'm sorry. I'm just worried for-" "(Y/n)?" She sighs and takes a sip of her coffee.
"You said it yourself that her friend is there to accompany her throughout the night, right?" Zak puts his phone inside his pocket. Heather looks satisfied that now all is attention is to her. "Yeah, but she's important to me."
"More important than me?"
And the question that Zak hates to answer pops out. "I can't answer that." Heather smiles and leans towards him. "Okay, since your 'Moonie' is accompanied by her friend, how about you stay at my place for the meantime?" Zak was speechless. "What?" She makes a cute face, trying to persuade Zak to be with her.
He thinks long and hard until he comes up with a decision. "Okay, I'll stay at your house for an hour. That's it." Heather doesn't seem to pleased with his answer, but she accepts it anyway. "Alright then! You'll love it there!" Zak just smiles along with her, but the fact that he's still worried about you is still bothering him.

You toss and turn in your bed with Jennifer beside her, who is texting her mom that she won't be back home for a few days. You keep staring at the window to see the starry night sky and the bright moon shining. You remember what Zak said to you during your first sleepover together.
Flashback
Night has fallen in your home and almost everyone was asleep, except for you and Zak, your best friend. He sits next to you inside your bedroom on your bed. Both of you were staring out from the window to see the bright moon in front of you.
"The moon sure is pretty, huh." Zak says, wrapping a blanket over you and him. You smiled, agreeing with him. "Yeah, it sure is beautiful."
He takes a sip of hot chocolate (Well, it wasn't too hot now.) that your mother made. "Hey Moonie, could you ask your mom how she makes this? It's delicious." Your eyes widened at what he said. "What did you call me? Moonie, was it?"
He laughs. "Yeah, Moonie! It sounds really cute, ya' know." You were speechless. But you have to admit, it was pretty cute. "Yeah, it does. But, why?" Zak leans onto you and sighs. "It's because, the moon revolves around the earth. So, I will revolve around you, because you are important to me."
You sort of blush at his words, but you were touched as well. "Aww, thanks Zakky. Promise me that you will never forget about me?" He looks at you and holds out his pinky finger. "Promise."
And you both lock pinky fingers.
Present
Tears slowly rolled down your cheeks as you remembered those good old days, when no one would force him to avoid you. You look beside you to see Jennifer already asleep hugging a strawberry shaped pillow.
You pulled your blankets closer to your face. And quietly in your breath, you say, "How I wish you were here."
