Chapter 6

Nayeon's POV

"Here's your ice cream ma'am." The ice cream man handed me the vanilla flavored ice cream I bought.

I smiled at him. "Thanks sir." I said and accepted the ice cream before paying him.

I turn around and went for a walk around the park. Children playing chase, pet owners taking their lovely and adorable pets on a walk.

Couples showing public display of affection and group of friends hanging out while laughing.

I remembered the time when me and Ben used to walk around here during mid day and feel the chilly weather while holding our hands to keep ourselves warm.

But now I couldn't longer do that anymore...

I sighed and just sit on a nearby bench while eat my ice cream before it will melt.

"Hey Nayeon." I look at where the voice was coming from and found Yoongi with a smile.

I smiled back. "Hey." I greeted back and at the same time, he sit beside me.

"Sorry about last night again for leaving you." He said making me chuckle.

"I told you, it's okay. If I were you, I would've left you either." I said making him chuckle as well.

"By the way, how is your grandma?" I asked.

He smiled weakly. "She fell from the stairs and it worsen her injured leg so she couldn't walk without a walking stick anymore." He said.

"I'm so sorry to hear that. Don't worry, I'm sure everything will be fine." I said making him smile a little.

"Thanks." He said. "Anyhow, want to go hang out? Let me at least make it up to you for leaving you." I laughed.

"Fine. It looks like you wouldn't stop apologizing if I would not accept any offers from you." I said as he laughed.

"Looks like it." He said. We both stood up and walked.

Soon, we end up in his car, "I'll just drive you here later when you want to pick up your car." He said and I nodded in response.

He opened the passenger's seat for me which I gladly accepted before entering the car.

He then leaned closer to me which made me freeze from my position.

Leaning close...

Closer...

*click*

"Always buckle your seatbelt." He said with a smile making my cheeks heat up.

"R-right. Thanks." I said making him smile more.

He closed the door and walked to the other side while I took deep breaths.

My heart was beating so fast...

He opened the door and entered the driver's seat.

He started the engine and was about to drive when his phone started ringing.

"Hello?" He answered. Just then, he smiled widely.

"Really? Okay. Wait for me there." He said and ended the call.

"Who was that?" My curious self took over and ended up asking him.

He smiled. "How about let's go to the mall? I'll introduce you to someone." He said.
