Chapter 10

Jungkook's POV

"Ne, auntie. I'll fetch her tomorrow." Nayeon said on the phone.

Today, I was shocked when she arrived here at work and immediately came to me and said 'I'm sorry'

Like, what did she do? She didn't do anything wrong so I'm confused as to why she is apologizing to me.

"Unnie, can I talk to you alone?" Me and Nayeon look up and spotted Tzuyu in front of Nayeon's table with a sad look.

"Sure thing." She said and stood up and walked with Tzuyu to a spot where they can have a privacy.

Me on the other hand sighed and continued doing my work.

Nayeon's POV

"Eomma's party will be canceled tonight." My eyes widened.

"Wae? Did something happened?" I asked.

She nodded and looked down. "She accidentally slipped on the stairs so she was brought to the hospital just this morning."

My face softened and then I pulled Tzuyu in my embrace.

"That's okay. She'll be alright. Just stay positive." I assured her. She nodded in my embrace and hugged me back.

"Also, don't worry. I will still bring her the present I brought to her when I'll visit your mother." I said once we broke the hug.

She smiled at me. "Thanks unnie. I'm sure she will be happy."

"Tzuyu seems to be a little down today. Did, something happened?"Jungkook asked while I took a sip on my soup.

"Her mother was brought to the hospital just this morning." I said but instantly realized something.

I smirked and leaned closer to him earning a flustered face from him.

"Wae? You are worried for her, right? Hmm... It sounds like you like her."

But right now, I'm confused as well.

Why am I suddenly feeling hurt when I said the word 'like'?

Do....

I like him?

"What? Aniyo. I was just asking." He defended and starts eating.

And with that, I felt myself relax hearing he doesn't like her.

"If you insist." I chuckled and leaned on my chair while starting to eat as well.

"By the way, do you have some free time today after work?" He asked making my heart beat fast.

"Wae?"I asked. He smiled shyly and scratched the back of his neck.

"Well, I wanted to hang out with you and there is also something I need to tell you." He said.

I thought for a while. What would he possibly say to me?

"Why not now?" I asked. He chuckled. "I'm sure that would be a bad idea. I can only tell you when it's just the two of us around."

I smiled. "Sure. I don't have any plans tonight." He then smiled widely.

"Great!" He then looked down to his meal and continued to eat.

"Any plans tonight?" Yoongi asked as soon as he finished cleaning his desk.

"Wae?"I asked. "Hoseok wanted to treat you later for going with him at the mall."

I then leaned close to him with a wide smile. "Did you like her gift?"I asked.

He chuckled. "Sure did."he said and took the necklace out from his shirt.

"But, no thanks. I already have plans for tonight so, maybe next time." I said and he just nodded.

"Well, I'll get going now. See ya!" He waved goodbye and exited the place.

"Honestly, if you didn't told me he has Hoseok as his partner, I would think he likes you." I turn around and found Jungkook with a dull face.

I chuckled. "And why would anyone like a person like me?" I asked.

"Cause you are perfect."he whispered something but couldn't seem to hear it clearly.

"Huh? What was it?" I asked. He smiled and shook his head.

"Nothing. Let's go now."he said and grabbed my hand as we exited the building.

"Where are we going exactly?" I asked as soon as we are in his car.

"You'll find out."

"Wow! Daebak! Did you set this place?" I look around and was mesmerized.

We are both in the middle of a private grass field. There is a table in the middle and the lights were fairy lights around settled up.

"Mhm. Let's eat first." He said and escorted me to a chair before he sit across the table in front of me.

"What's the meaning of this by the way?" I asked while I'm clearly flustered with what is going on.

"I don't think I'll be able to hold my mouth shut now." He said making me raise an eyebrow.

"Nayeon..." He started and suddenly, I felt his hand on top of mine which is on the table.

My heart started beating fast. Then, he intertwined our fingers sending chills down my spine.

"I like you."

I was at loss of words. He-he likes me?

"Jungkook..."

He stopped me with a smile. "It's okay. Don't be too pressured. You also don't have to answer now. I just want to tell you how much I like you." He said making me smile.

"Wait for me then." I said and he nodded with a sweet smile.

But, I think, I like him as well...

What makes me stop from telling him?

Guys, I'm sorry I didn't update yesterday. I was making sure that I was in my best condition to write a good chapter.

I also know that this chapter is an little going forward one after another. I will edit this one day, I promise.

Sadly, I might be able to just update one chapter today which is this one because last night, I forgot to charge my phone and this got confiscated early morning.

My battery percentage currently is 3% and I know, it sucks.
