One and One is Two

Reunion

Nigel dropped the guys off back into the harbor.

"I'm so sorry. Truly, I am" he said.

Paul was the first to rush back underwater.

"Macca? you alright?" said John.

Paul just shook his head and swam away.

Meanwhile, Meg made her way out of the drain and went looking for her friends.

"Guys! It's Meg! I'm not dead!" she called.

"Meg?" Sam said diving down deeper.

"Sam!" Meg squealed swimming to her friend.

"Meg! We thought you were dead" Sam said.

"No. I was pretending so I could escape from that dentist" Meg said.

"Well, we're so glad you're alive. Poor Paul, he thinks you are dead and here you are." said Ringo.

"We better find him" said Calvin.

"Which way did he go?" Meg said.

"This way" said Charles Wallace pointing the way.

They came across two crabs playing on the pipes.

"Hey, have you seen a mop-haired merman swim by?" Sam asked.

"yeah, I saw him, kid. But I'm not telling you where he went and there's no way you're gonna make me" said one of the crabs.

Sam held the crab above the water and a bunch of seagulls were going "mine mine mine"

"AAGH! Alright! I'll talk! I'll talk! He went to the fishing grounds" said the crab.

Meanwhile, Paul was still swimming away and crying when he heard Meg's voice calling his name.

"Meg?" Paul cried.

"Paulie! I'm right here!" Meg said.

"Meggie! I'm coming, love!" Paul sobbed rushing toward Meg.

"Paulie. Hi, Paul" said Meg.

"Oh, my little Meg" Paul sobbed hugging Meg.

"I missed you so much" Meg said.

"I missed you too" said Paul.

Suddenly a big net scooped up a bunch of groupers along with Sam, Charles Wallace and Calvin!

Meg remembered how Gill helped her escape the dentist's net.

"Beatles! I know what to do. We have to tell all the fish to swim down together" Meg said.

"Well, you heard our friend. Swim down together! Do you understand what I'm saying to you? Swim. Down!" said Ringo.

The groupers swam down and the net eventually broke loose and the others were free.

"Paul." Meg said hugging Paul once more.

"Oh, Meg. I thought I'd lost you" said Paul.

"Lost me? Those fish in that tank helped me get out. You never lost me to begin with"

"I love you so much"

"I love you too"

"Hey. Guess what, love" said Paul with a smile.

"What?"

"Sea turtles. I met one. And he was a hundred and fifty years old"

Meg gasped. "A hundred and fifty?" she said.

"Yes"

"My science club said they only live to be a hundred" Meg said.

"Your science club? you think I'd cross the entire ocean and not know as much as your science club? He was a hundred and fifty" Paul laughed.

Yes! The best pals are back together again.

But wait! We still haven't heard Paul's song for Meg.
