In the morning, the tank was already clean and had a new filter.
"But how?" said Deb.
"The dentist must have installed it last night while we were sleeping. What's it say, Peach?" said Gill.
"The Aqua Scum 1964 is an all-purpose filter that is guaranteed to extend the life of your Aquarium fish" Peach read.
"Stop it!" shouted Bloat.
"The Aqua Scum is programmed to scan your tank environment every five minutes?" said Peach.
"Scan? What does that mean?" said Bubbles.
The new filter then scanned the tank and a voice said "Temperature: 82 degrees. pH balance normal"
"Oh. Ah. CURSE YOU AQUA SCUM!!!!!!!" yelled Gurgle.
"That's it for the escape plan. It's ruined" said Bloat.
"Then what are we gonna do about Darla?" Meg said.
"I'm thinking" said Gill.
Just then the dentist scooped Meg up in a net.
Gill jumped in with her and said "Swim down. Come on, honey. Swim down"
"Everybody jump in" Bloat ordered.
The fish swam downward and Meg was free.
She was eventually trapped again in a plastic baggie. She tried to roll out the window but the dentist caught her.
"Gill! Don't let me go belly-up! Don't let me go belly-up!" Meg sobbed.
"Just calm down, Meg. You won't go belly-up. I promise. You're gonna be okay" said Gill.
Suddenly the door opened.
"DARLA!!!" the fish yelled.
Oh my gosh! Meg's in real trouble now!
Her friends are in the harbor now. Let's hope they find her soon.
